Why should you play Inconsummate?

Inconsummate stands apart from other StarCraft: Brood War custom campaigns. It features:
A diverse voice cast. Experience the story without having to read the lines out loud.
Custom terrain. Some of the highest quality graphical edits the game has ever seen decorate the
battlefields of Aiur, allowing for dynamic thematics and visual storytelling.
A real challenge. Sporting custom AI scripts and unique level designs, Inconsummate's missions
will engage you with unpredictable trials, testing both your skill and adaptability.
New heroes and abilities. Inconsummate's characters don't behave like their vanilla counterparts.
Your ghost hero packs two stuns for powerful crowd control, and your defiler hero attacks viciously
in close quarters and sustains back the health by consuming its allies.
A story with scale. Inconsummate is meant to augment StarCraft's storytelling, not replace it. The
tale told within this campaign will answer important questions about the minutia of Blizzard's own
story, while simultaneously sharing a memorable experience that stands on its own merits.
And if that wasn't enough, the content within Inconsummate will be expanded upon well past the
remit of an ordinary campaign. Additional chapters of this story will be produced as time goes on.

Great trailer! The final "Yes Master!" somehow felt a bit too cliche, but everything else was great!
Also, you have a caracter named "Paone" ? :O

Is it coop capable? If not, I'd like to see that implemented eventually. I'd definitely use the coop mode.

I use all the players as it is in most of the maps for cinematic and gameplay purposes, so co-op is not something that will happen. I may look into making some (small) co-op projects at some point in the near future. We'll see how it goes.

Bumping to let everyone know that I've released a small patch that addresses some minor issues and improves game flow overall. Since the patch notes contain moderate spoilers, I won't post them here, but they can be viewed in the readme.

That was a pretty dang good trailer. I actually got hyped at part "worthy of the title, Overmind", gave me some chills! Was not expecting that :)

I think the trailer does a decent job of establishing a premise for the story. If you can't play it yourself, there will be numerous let's play videos of other people playing it that I'll be adding to the thread.

edit: the channel Home of Starcraft has begun a playthrough (with no commentary). I've added it to the 'Experience Inconsummate' section of the OP, in case anyone's interested in watching before they try it for themselves.

Another update has been pushed. This only targets the third map, so if you've already downloaded the project, you don't need to download the full package - just click the 'Map 3' link in the components section. The readme has been updated with a list of the changes, as usual.

Would like to see it mirrored elsewhere. Not a fan of MEGA. Unfortunately I don't know of any good public file hosts anymore, though. Maybe Google. Trailer video's description download link is outdated.

I'll give it a try, either way. Looking forward to playing it.

I had just updated it within the last hour, maybe you clicked it beforehand? Checked it myself and it's valid.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Still gathering feedback on the first three maps during the short break I've taken. I'll be back to work on map 4 tomorrow and Thursday, and I project that the map will be done before Tuesday of next week.

Really appreciate your feedback. Sorry you ran into so many issues - I hope it didn't distract too much from the immersion. I'll push this update a bit later in the day.

edit2: Update is live. In the interest of keeping things relatively consistent, I'll probably hold off on any future updates until map 4 is released, unless a game-breaking bug or crash is discovered.

Thanks for fixing all the important issues. None of it was especially game-breaking or ruined the immersion to me, so no worries.
