I will not remake the map, so I need a way to recover it if possible, if not, I'm done.

SCMD2 creates backups every 5 minutes. You could try one of those backups. Go to Advanced > Open Backup Database, and then select your map and pick one of the backups and save it to your computer.

You could also post the map here and someone will fix it for you.

Sorry about that, I was beyond pissed off, when that happened.

Well, now it crashed..

what the hell.

SCMDraft likes to breakdown after a while, if backupDB.scmdDB is over 2gb (located in the same folder as SCMDraft): rename or delete it; if not: reinstall SCMDraft.

If you're on windows 8, loudly screech 'fml', then use Staredit and CHKDraft.

Well, i'm not using windows 8, but I will probably take your advice anyway, seeing as how not a damn thing is working right.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Staredit is extremely limited function-wise, it's not at all recommended. Go for X-tra Edit or Fartyedit if you really want a Staredit based editor, though they are considered obsolete.
CHKDraft, while promising, isn't finished. No idea how much of it is already usable, but for now I consider it a test version rather than a productive version and is likely to still have a lot of bugs. (sry jjf)
The only real alternative to ScmDraft is Starforge imo, though it has a couple of quirks of its own and no text triggers iirc.

All that being said, ScmD overall is still the best editor around and is recommended. None of its bugs are deal breakers as most of them can be avoided and worked around. It is also the most well known editor so you're more likely to get community help when you have a problem.

tl;dr
ScmD or Starforge are best function-wise, Xtra Edit for honorable mention.
Or wait for CHKDraft to finish.

Vrael shouted: Idk, I was looking more for a dehumidifer company which maybe stands out as a beacon of relief amidst damp and unpredictable climates of bustling metropolises. Not sure Amazon qualifies
sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city

Vrael -- Maybe here on the StarEdit Network I could look through the Forums for some Introductions to people who care about the Topics of Dehumidifiers and Carpet Cleaning?
