Ok, already replaced my laptop; but still my last one was doing this:
First things first, it would fail to boot, FAILED TO LOAD WINDOWS. Was what my computer was doing, I did memory checks ect, tried other boot options, and then attemped to do a systum recovery, to restore to factory settings....this failed partway through. The laptop has no CD drive since it is a Mini Acer. After the recovory failure I attempted to restart the laptop and it was stating the hard disk was in use by another program. I can get specific codes if sombody would like.
Do I need a new hard drive? Or did a virus cause this? It just happened after I turned my laptop off one day. The battery has been accedently disconnected numorus time, could this have fried somthing or cause internal fatigue to cause a failure? Any ideas on this issue?
Problem need to just reinstall windown. I would have just reformated the laptop but I only new how to do that in Win 95\98, couldnt figure how to reach the command prompt on windows 7

Boot in safe mode with command prompt or with networking. To get the menu, you hit one of the function keys (F8?) as the computer is starting up.
Ok to be specific, you turn the power on and the first thing you see is : Windows failed to start because of a recent hardware or software change. It wants me to reinstall windows.

You'll need to
make your USB stick a Windows CD and reinstall Windows from there. There really isn't enough information to tell you how to repair the current Windows.

I can vouch for this set of instructions, used it three times myself to put an image on computers.
Method 6 is the most secure method imo if you dont want to download software.
