I was wondering, could it be possible to modify the critter easter egg where the critter explodes after (i think its 14 clicks). Like change what happens and the amount of clicks for it to happen. I think that could be really usefull.
Link to video of it below. (not my vid)

It seriously does happen. That guy clicks horribly slow though. >.>
It's been in Warcraft 2, Starcraft, and Warcraft 3.

Shame it doesn't happen in multiplayer.

Dungeon Master

That'd change what it looked like, but I'm pretty sure it's impossible to make it have any actual affects (damage, etc).

Does the explosion itself cause damage? :shifty:

 I never knew about this. My gut instinct tells me to check this before I fall victim to such a scam, but I'll take KK's and the OP's word for it.

I guess the explosion is something hardcoded? ShadowFlare, if you recall modded kakaru's to do damage. Could the death of a critter be iscripted so that it dealt damage upon death too? Those poor helpless creatures. That would be hilarious if someone "killed" a critter and then it backfired by dealing some massive explosive damage back upon it's death. :omfg:

I seem to remember the Warcraft 2 version doing damage (of course, it only would explode in single player). Anyway, I don't think it is by number of clicks. I think it is after it has played the sounds a certain number of times, without having clicked on another unit in between clicks.

Heh, this is probably one of the first things I tried with the SC critters when I saw them, and then I saw that explosion. The Warcraft 3 version even makes the ground move up and down during the explosion.

I meant the nuke explosion itself, not the specific critter explodey.

Doh!! I just realized that triggers could be used to detect the destruction of the critter and give an additional action. Still modding would still be usefull as it could make the critter die instantly and do effects. *(if modding is possible)

I remember when I found out I searched around to see if it was known on any cheat code sites, it wasn't. I spammed it on as many as I could find, and my e-penis grew 10 fold.
