Is there a way to make actions using EUDs?

None.

PyMS and ProTRG developer

Downgrade your StarCraft, since they have been patched for a while now.

(Good thing I have the SCD3 downloaded already :P) I would just search for the address the same way that I had searched for it before right? Is there some list of Actions that can be done? I remember Kenoli told me a fort night ago that once apon a time, one could type in a message ( *ban orange) and it would activate a EUD trigger and then the orange player would be banned. How would you search for text? Entered or just by typing it (without hitting enter) Would this cause a dysync?

That banning system should still be possible as you can detect text on screen and then you can execute a trigger with desynching conditions.

👻 👾 👽 💪

Most EUD-related programs have a lot of in-depth searches done for 1.12b. Stuff like EUD D (or whatever it was called... the one by DTBK) I believe is for that version

TinyMap2 - Latest in map compression! ( 7/09/14 - New build! )
EUD Action Enabler - Lightweight EUD/EPD support! (ChaosLauncher/MPQDraft support!)
EUDDB - topic - Help out by adding your EUDs! Or Submit reference files in the References tab!
MapSketch - New image->map generator!
EUDTrig - topic - Quickly and easily convert offsets to EUDs! (extended players supported)
SC2 Map Texture Mask Importer/Exporter - Edit texture placement in an image editor!

How does one detect text, or for that matter, use artmoney to detect it?

1.12b is a myth. EUDs were discovered during patch 1.13a and the actions were patched in 1.13b. The map was Innovation Defense, which was a very simple playable example of the use of EUD actions to make a defense of recursive difficulty. I made better use of EUD Actions in Spell Defense 2.2.1, which is probably my favorite map I've made. Sadly it requires 1.13a for EUD functionality, but it can still be played without them (sort of).

I'm sure I still have the source to the original MemCalc lying around, which would have all the Units.dat offsets.

Display some text and then search RAM for that text while it on the screen. I don't think displayed text is encoded into memory; ASCII is perfectly workable.

You guys remember there were 2 types of 'god' triggers. EUD's and EAS's(I think) which was extended allied status(I think). I also remember that while eud actions were patched out of existence promptly in 13.b, EAS actions weren't until a later patch. I remember that generally speaking EUD's were way cooler than EAS. The only thing specifically I remember an EAS being able to do was adjust a units infected properties(make it blind or parasited etc.). I still never heard anything about EAS conditions.

Were they patched? Are they really just EUD conditions? What can they do? Were they even called EAS? Was there a third type? Why don't we ever mention them?

Other variations of EUD triggers were just other actions which read and write directly to a RAM pointer plus an offset, and all of them were sanitized by Blizzard to prevent illegal parameter input. The only difference was the range of RAM accessible.

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort

Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
