Items
So basically there are 3 types of items you can get in the game; equipment, supplies, and quest items.
Equipment increases your stats, and is subdivided into 4 categories; Amulets, Armor, Headgear, and Rings. Unlike Oblivion, however, these categories are specific to certain stat types. Prices vary, depending on the weight and stat distribution of the item. Some equipment is very expensive and will take some time to save up for.
Supplies are potions which help you in combat. They are affordable, light in weight, and very useful all game. It's unlikely you'll get by without them.
Quest Items will show up in your menu, but you won't be able to apply them.
On map load, random items are scattered about the map in random places. Items also have unique rarity values, so most of your findings will be cheap junk, but every now and then you'll get lucky!

I tried the map out yesterday. As a mapmaker and a player it left me quite speachless '
At start I was like : "wtf, what's with the 28 Mb size ? Will this even run on SC ?"
Then I started the game. Damn well made ! Never seen mechanics as yours before, and the thing is everything I tried druring the game worked just great.
Your menu system is just outstanding. It took me a few minutes to understand how it works but it's probably what impressed me most in your map
I also like your "armor" and "equipement" system. Attributes are nice too.
Spells are fearly simple but work great and the map doesn't really need much more of that. It's ok the way it is
I saved my progression after few quests and level ups and will definitly try to finish it
Congratulations !
How long does it take to reach the end of the game ?
Btw, never played the original Morrowind game : is the music you used the original one ?
Oh_Man is Australian, by the way, so take those pesky time-zones into account. The only time I've every played a game with Oh_Man was when I couldn't sleep and I stayed up until 4 A.M., hah Unless you're both at the same longitude.
Hmmm, that's 10 hours difference (9h30 am here, 7h30 pm there). I used to play a role playing browser php game with someone at the same longitude as Oh_Man It was like "Good morning" when night fell and "Good night" in the morning
I couldn't get on Bnet last week-end by the way, but I'll do next one if you are still in there =)
I forgot to tell I finished your Morrowind RPG (on normal as a warrior) and that I did enjoy it, as expected.
So, about my impressions.. Hmm, I must say even if the start was rather challenging, the game got almost too easy once I got the best items / armor in the game, along with some leveling. Bosses kept some surprises (which is good), yet I defeated them easily, including the final dude. I guess I should try to play it on difficult !
Also, I was expecting some ending (epilogue, or something) but there wasn't one really.
Well, this put on the side, it's a great map with great features
I still have to play your Oblivion map and I'm looking further to your next RPG also (Skyrim).
Stream of Jack, Bettle and I playing. Unfortunately the stream is very laggy and cuts out half way through. Apologies - I was experimenting with new streaming software. We didn't actually finish the game coz ppls had to leave, but I will try and finish it at a later date.
It's a very good game with epic systems from what I can tell so far.

Yeah I did attempt to watch that stream but the entire thing was unbelievably choppy so eventually I had to stop.
When we got to the mission where we had to find Nibani Maesa, there was nothing at the ping. Also, the quest said to go east of vivec, but the ping was west of vivec. Either way, we explored all over the place but couldn't find him, so that was a bit frustrating.
Red classic.
"In short, their absurdities are so extreme that it is painful even to quote them."

I also had this bug, but the quest says EAST of Vivec. There's nothing at the ping. I opened up the map to try to figure out what was going on. The location is definitely there but the unit doesn't seem to have been moved there properly.
Oh_Man -- its not like there's some gauranteed way of 'do this to quit smoking', etc, failure rates are still high and there doesnt seem to be a silver bullet, with different things working for different people
