Happy New Years, SEN! I hope that 2014 is everything you hope it'll be! :3

Does anyone have any resolutions? How did you do on last year's resolutions? If you participated in last year's thread, tell us how it went.

Last year I said I wanted to learn a "new skill or something..." I guess I accomplished that. My new job is vastly different from the old job I had. I always retaught myself this year how to do some hand sewing and I learned some new origami patterns.

As for this year I don't know what my resolution will be. I still don't particularly like waiting until a specific day to start something new, but there seems to be a lot of things I've recently decided I need to start doing. I need to start going back to the gym, so I guess I'm going to join the New Year's Resolution mobs on that, I'd like to learn more about sewing, namely from patterns, and I would like to start more creative projects altogether. We want to elope this year, but that's the most concrete thing I can think of. Even that I wouldn't be too disappointed if it doesn't happen this year. There's a lot of paperwork associated with marriage. @.@

Well, a new career. I have not been able to find anything but part time in my area and get tossed at the end of my probation every time. Honestly, I could care less what it is and as always, will bust my ass... It's just that there is nothing but corporate jobs in my area, so I am at the whim of people that I never even meet. It's pretty crappy.

Just continuing Roy's list.

- I've been slightly less lazy!
- I've gotten a bit better, and we do have some mostly complete songs as a band! Still working on a gig (except out practices have been a bit shaky lately ...)
- I've laid out some groundwork for what may amount to be a useful/fun/interesting/relevant program.

So after several years I've still ended up with the same goals and have only slightly realized them. I feel better about 2014, though. Almost halfway through the decade and time to leave the bullshit of 2013 behind!

I might be in for a stretch with that second one.

So, the degree is mine and I'm in my masters course with one foot already... I've had a tough year and a tough year is about to start.

I've no real resolutions for this year. I just to try to keep going on without failing too much.

It's still too early to tell!!

I don't think I've posted in one of these before, so I cannot comment on previous resolutions.

Here is my list for this year though:

-Improve my academics: given a school day, study for those courses that I must attend for that day as a minimum guideline for how much I should study.
-Be more open: also, come out to more people, especially if the subject comes to it. I am at least one bi, maybe gay, maybe trans.
-Be more considerate, thoughtful, and rigorous: if I make an assumption, I have to prove it to myself and if I make a prediction, I have to justify it. This process should be thorough and rigorous.
-Program more: participate in an open-source project, or finish a project of my own, or participate in a group project.

Continue to produce quality entertainment experiences, secure a viable FTP/hosting environment, deploy a full-length StarCraft: Brood War campaign, and acquire a platform for heightened exposure of my content.
