How are the registration dates on older members known? I thought SEN displays registration dates for v5. I look at mine and it says I registered in '07, but I look at the timeline and remember being on SEN as long ago as '0 or '06.

I miss those days when life was a lot easier.
Someone (I think moose?) put back old dates.

We live in a society.

You sure SEN was founded in 2003? I remembered being on SEN before the World Trade Center event...
At the very least I was definitely at SEN when I was in Grade 8, before June 2003.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong? But I don't think I'm wrong...
If you happened to be at staredit.org, it's possible you are thinking of that.

Nice history work Doodan. I think I remember seeing you around when you first arrived.

I recall being a GMod on SEN when OSMAP was released.
when you released OSMAP.* It's been public knowledge for years (it's even in the SEN Timeline, lol) and isn't close to being a secret anymore.

They are retrieved from the old v4 database and input manually into this one. Ask DevliN about that, though, it's his job now. :P

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

O.o I didn't know it existed. Cool stuff Moose.
And wow, I'm actually in it! ( Having joined at the end of its golden age I don't consider myself part of SEN "history". )

I think Moose unintentionally started a trend of adding the join dates for well-known members and higher-up staffers, so I just continued that every time a new GMod was promoted. :)

wth is starcraft

I found my welcome topic on doodle's static version of SEN and asked Moose to update mine :awesome:

HAY I was a moderator on SEN! ;_; Not global though. Does that mean I don't get put on the timeline?

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

Correct. I've only put Globals on there.

:( Ouch.

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

Why ouch? If I put every mod we've had on there, it would get really cluttered. It just seemed easier to keep it to global mods.

I believe I had been moderator as well once upon a time.
Our names would've shined one next to the other, glorifying history through their transcendent perfection.

None.

Back* from the grave

I was mod once too. Sadly, when the new site was put up I lost mod privilege.

Teraunce, the ^

Welp I know this is necroing a thread but I am surprised and glad such a thread exists. I personally joined late v4 SEN and it inspired me to try my hand at modding and map making. neither of which ever got finished. I remember being utterly pissed when SEN was down. But yeah I guess 2005 was the end of the golden age of Starcraft.

It's been 4 and a half years since this topic was started! Do any older members want to write a few paragraphs about the site's history? :P

I guess we should update this with the SEN v6 update. I'd say that's a pretty big milestone don't you think?

I'm talking about accessing the content of the old forum of Maplantis.

The link isn't even working. :(

Well all we could add for now is "SEN v6!". I say we wait a month or a few and then, when a couple / most implications become obvious, we can actually report on it from a historical point of view.

Vrael -- It is, and I could definitely use a company with a commitment to flexibility, quality, and customer satisfaction to provide effective solutions to dampness and humidity in my urban environment.
[06:50 pm]
NudeRaider -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: Idk, I was looking more for a dehumidifer company which maybe stands out as a beacon of relief amidst damp and unpredictable climates of bustling metropolises. Not sure Amazon qualifies
sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
[06:50 pm]
Vrael -- Maybe here on the StarEdit Network I could look through the Forums for some Introductions to people who care about the Topics of Dehumidifiers and Carpet Cleaning?
[06:49 pm]
Vrael -- Perhaps even here I on the StarEdit Network I could look for some Introductions.
[06:48 pm]
Vrael -- On this Topic, I could definitely use some Introductions.
[06:48 pm]
Vrael -- Perhaps that utilizes cutting-edge technology and eco-friendly cleaning products?
[06:47 pm]
Vrael -- Do you know anyone with a deep understanding of the unique characteristics of your carpets, ensuring they receive the specialized care they deserve?
[06:45 pm]
NudeRaider -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I've also recently becoming interested in Carpet Cleaning, but I'd like to find someone with a reputation for unparalleled quality and attention to detail.
beats me, but I'd make sure to pick the epitome of excellence and nothing less.
[06:41 pm]
Vrael -- It seems like I may need Introductions to multiple companies for the Topics that I care deeply about, even as early as Today, 6:03 am.

Vrael -- I need a go-to solution and someone who understands that Carpets are more than just decorative elements in my home.
