NIGHT 1 END
The subsequent night of Mayor lil-Inferno's assassination had proved to be deceivingly uneventful.
One man had taken arms on his own accord, and built a makeshift sniper's nest on the rooftop of his three-story home. Having had previous encounters with the Mafia and even having witnessed their takeover of Infertopia before, he knew how futile it was to wait around for the FBI to take care of them. Looking through his scope, the man couldn't find anything suspicious aside from a few rustling sounds. He had to use the restroom, and so he left his post for a few minutes before returning. Peering through his scope once more, there was still nothing threatening in sight.
Seemingly out of nowhere a swift punch was delivered to the back of the man's head and he was thrown off the roof not too long after. There was nothing to stunt his face-first fall aside from the thorn bush he landed in, which tore through his bare skin and his clothing, mangling him all over and causing severe bleeding. Amazingly enough the man lived on, but after the blunt trauma and lacerations he had suffered, he wouldn't survive another attack. No one had come to his rescue.
On the other side of town, a townsperson was going on a short jog. The townsperson was pulled aside after passing through an alleyway, knocked out, and left in a dumpster.
