i dont see th eunits just some role models. and i just not see the templar.
what am i doing wrong?

export the texture from the MPQ? After exporting it, navigate the Previewer to the location to which you exported it.
i think i exported it yes.
but when i then go tho the folder of the texture, its not there.
and i cant open this .dll file with gimp or paint
so i think i do something wrong.
but i do every step of the tutorial so that sux a bit.
hope somone can help me, or find a german tutorial for maybe better understanding :S

Not very knowledgable of what you guys are talking about, but remember that there are 2 variations of the Dark Templar model. Could have something to do with that.

Yeah, you shouldn't be messing with DLL files. You should be opening the MPQ, finding the image files (DDS), and modifying those.

sry i meant the dds file. i see this and i have this dds files on my desktop now.
i found the right one darktemplar silver something..
but i cant open with gimp 2.6 and also not with MS Paint.
So what is wrong?
the video Tutorial thats attached in this tutorial, i dont understand well, and the resolution of the video is horrible. si it didnt help.

Any other tutorial will say the same stuff as that article. You need to find a plugin for GIMP that will let you open DDS files. Then once you open the DDS file and modify the image, import it into the map again. That's really the simplest way to explain it.

Yeah, you can theoretically also download a converter to turn it into some other format as well, and then convert it back to DDS.

For the dark templar previewer problem, make sure you have the campaign dependencies added to your map.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
