Sublime <3. Rip Bradley. Santeria is my favourite song by them, followed by Bad Fish and Scarlet Begonias (which is a better cover than the original :awesome:)...

Interesting. The modal interchange (unless my ears deceive me?) presented a complexity you don't hear in a lot of pop-esque. The beginning strings (violin? not an instrument expert) sound very dragging and moaning, set a good mood. The melody (vocals) had some COOL chromaticism in some parts. It felt very interesting. Though, in my opinion, by the end of the song, it had become generic.

The distorted guitar at 2:44 felt very out of place since it started on an offbeat or there was a time signature or something, but it's their song they can put any feel they want.

It's pretty good for pop.

lololol Pop?

Please. Don't talk any more. I agree it's not strictly rock and I admit, APC are basically Tool-Lite. But seriously man, get real.

Same lead signer here. This was his first band. Infinitely better.

Vicarious is my favourite song by them. And Schism just because they (Maynard) did the artistic/animation/concepts for all their own videos. Interesting factoid: their 1996 album Ænima was dedicated and inspired by Bill Hicks, who considered himself and the band to be going in the same direction - with the album being released 2 years after Hicks death, the track Eulogy is a cynical funeral speech about Bill Hicks and the tragedy of his death.

Most people who like APC are totally unaware of their roots in Tool.

They should go on tour with Train. Similar sounds IMO!

I call it pop because of the song structure and what they do with the music. Provide evidence as to why I should call it anything else or you forfeit your argument.

I could be your girl,
girl, girl, girl, girl, girl
But would you love me
If I ruled the world, world, world.

Personally I like 10,000 days the most by tool. Progressive rock is probably my most favorite style of music right now, and Tool did it so masterfully.

But for now

This sentence makes no sense to me. The only times I listen to music is when I'm doing something else or when I can't be doing anything else, e.g. road trips or after tests.
