Hello, i guess i should start with something about myself.
Well, i've been playing StarCraft for a few months now, and i played it years ago too. Right now i only enter the abyss and focus on Diplo and RPG kinda stuff.
I've also been experimenting with the campaign editor for a while now, and i must say it's quite fun to make maps, although i haven't really achieved too much of a great map, :P. Yeah, what else, well, what took me here was mainly looking for RPGs on google, getting my attention drawn to this site by a map called Hero Sanctuary (A map which i think is really cool, i read the thread).
I've also been trying to make a TCG Use Map Settings map for a while now, but i've never been arsed to finish it.
And that's about it.

Glad to join the community.

First order of business is to make sure you have Scmdraft
Second is to point out this: http://www.staredit.net/topic/7993/
Third is unimportant.

SCMDraft is the map editor that pretty much everyone uses, mostly because it's the most useful and the most easy to use. Plus if you've never played with a custom map editor there's tons of nice custom goodies you can look at.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll definitely need it later, especially for the TCG game i wanna make.

It's longstanding tradition to offer new members arbitrary things such as kiwis or eggsongs.

Ultraviolet -- Yeah, I suppose there's something to that
[2024-5-06. : 5:02 am]
Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless
[2024-5-06. : 5:02 am]
Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value
[2024-5-06. : 5:01 am]
Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Ultraviolet -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
[2024-5-06. : 12:51 am]
Oh_Man -- definitely EUD

Vrael -- I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
[2024-5-05. : 9:35 pm]
Vrael -- that is insane
[2024-5-05. : 9:35 pm]
Vrael -- damn is that all EUD effects?
[2024-5-04. : 10:53 pm]
Oh_Man -- https://youtu.be/MHOZptE-_-c are yall seeing this map? it's insane
