I am sorry, I did a brief search but could not locate any information on how to reduce the sight range, or disable sight entirely for a unit. Is this possible?
Thank you in advance.
None.
http://www.staredit.net/wiki/Spells_(Terran) check out the section on Optical Flare, it can be done with pretty much 100% reliability if you set it up in a corner of the map somewhere then move your blinded unit

Apart from blinding the unit, there isn't any way to alter a specific unit's vision status or radius.
Blinding the unit (automatedly) requires AI provocation. It is possible to turn off vision for all your units, however, with the player running the Turn OFF shared vision for That Player AI script. If this is particularly important you could try making a manual and more controlled vision system by turning off vision with yourself and on for a computer, and using that computer for your vision. You should know, though, that even if you turn vision off for yourself you will still have detection on all your invisible units.
None.
Thank you gentlemen I will look into those options.
I have another question now however...is it possible for death counts to go into the negative? Or will they just sit at zero?
None.

For all intents and purposes, yes. If you subtract 100 when its currently 50 it will stop at zero.
None.
Thank you very much that makes my life easier.
Yet another question, can multiple players be the same color?
None.

Thank you very much that makes my life easier.

Of course. Just set them to the same color in the player properties. The map has to be saved as a .scx to change from default colors, though.
if you add -1, the death counter will go negative.
If you're interested in turning off vision, I found a way to constantly have vision for a single unit of varying sizes using burrowed units, without the flicker.

I would be very interested in hearing your solution.
Basically for my dawn of war gameplay map I have these flags that fall under your control on a point when you capture it....but they are providing a huge area of vision over the point for the player who owns them. I need this to not happen so that they cant just set tanks off of the point with an invincible flag to spot for them.
But I still need the flags to give a small amount of vision so the player knows that they still hold the point.

I should have posted this earlier.
http://whathuh05.googlepages.com/Vision.scxThis map will skip the normal "flicker" you get from creating/removing a unit, and won't slow you down at all. Now, unfortunately you can't ever use blind, and it really only works efficiently when the player only has one main unit.
Burrowed zerglings tend to give VERY little vision, burrowed mines give even less. If you want to create essentially a map revealer, you can use mines. If you have detectors, you'll end up seeing them, but if you don't, this works perfectly.
You'll probably need a little more help unless you understand the concept in the map completely.
