Regarding the Shark I have a complaint. All the stories only say the general news, and obvious situation. ''Man kills Shark, survives.'' I don't mind at all if someone kills an animal out of defence, obviously because that's survival of the fittest. At the same time however, there is nothing stating his reason why he is there, for all we know he could've been there for no reason.
Quote from The First Article (Which You Clearly Didn't Read)
Freediver Craig, 32, was using a snorkel and speargun to hunt tuna when the Jaws struck off the US’s Louisiana coast.
Aw well, what I find sad is that if the shark won then people would probably start putting bounties on all sharks in general.
Ridiculous. There are numerous shark attacks every year and none of them result in "bounties".
Much like the situation where this idiot decided to take a walk into the dark woods at night time and ended up dying, thus there was a bounty implaced on wolves. (Seriously, how is Palin in politics if she is this stupid?)

"Implace" is not a word.

In the second link of the first post, here is a reply I saw.
How did he hold his breath for two hours?

Lololololol!
None.
A speargun, to hunt tuna? O_o

Have you ever seen a tuna?
They aren't as small as the cans at the grocery store let on.
None.
Animal cruelty. Bastard should've died, the human to shark ratio's large enough that each shark is worth more than an annoying diver. A comment to your second link:
Lol. You're funny.
This guy rocks. Pwn that noob shark!
None.
Holy hell! 'Aight, I guess it makes sense then. Tuna are friggin' gigantic! (I never knew that, I only know a lot on land animals) I'm a whiny animals rights person my self, *don't worry, I'm not with peta lol* but I know there is no point in bitching at the guy if he was just doing something innocent like hunting for food. In perspective, he's a lot better then the brutal Chinese people who fish out a shark only to cut it's fins off, to throw the rest of it's body out into the sea and leave it die. They do it for selfish reasons, profit, and they also clearly discredit the sharks life. As for the man had done it to save his friend, and himself the reasons were definitely understandable, so I cannot quite understand why people would disdain him for trying to live.

Tuna aren't gigantic... That tuna has a nice little sticker that says its weight, which implies that it's abnormal, no? Probably the largest tuna that guys seen or something like that. It's like me posting a teensy tuna and arguing that tuna are all tiny.
None.
Tuna
are gigantic. That is a wild tuna. The kind you see at the stores are farm-grown tuna or just plain smaller ones. But that is a normal, adult tuna fish.
None.

That doesn't really help. The size ranges from around 1.5 feet to over 40, depending on the species. (if my metric to imperial conversions were correct) What would really help would be to know the species of the tuna in that picture.
None.

Since when are farm-grown or smaller tuna fish... not normal or adult?
Congratulations. The largest fish of the smallest species on that graph is 1/3 of a meter long.
None.
Farm grown tuna are not supposed to be gigantic, or you can't raise a whole bunch of them, and for the smaller tuna, I meant to say younger tuna fish.
None.

Way to miss the point entirely.
Methods of capture
* Andalusian method of Almadraba, in which nets are used, creating a maze in which the tuna are secured. In Sicily the same method in called Tonnara.
* big-game fishing
* Fish farming (Cage system)[3]
* longline fishing
* purse seines - the major threat to dolphins
* pole and line
* harpoon gun

Oh. Well, I wasn't arguing that you don't hunt tuna with harpoon guns, I wouldn't know anything about that. I was just pointing out that you can't say all tuna are huge because of one picture.
None.
Oh. I suppose I did quote that post. Whatever.
It just hit me that they were only snorkeling, with no air supply. He grappled with a shark while holding his breath? Alright that's badass.

Not really... When you catch a fish like that, generally you weigh it. We caught some halibut and weighed it, despite it not being anything terribly interesting or large.

Did anybody say they were
all huge? Look at the rest of the graph... Over half of the
species are > 1m, and about a third are > 2m. Also, we should take into consideration the % all tuna each of those species are and which are more commonly fished, if you feel the need to get overly technical.
