Difference between SP and MP

I was wondering, what are the exact differences between playing offline and online? So far I am only aware of the following:

Singplayer:
- Cheats work
- 'Center View' doesn't instantly center and acts as a wait
- EUD always works (no chance of desynch)

Are their any other difference? I'm especially interested in actions/conditions working slightly different, like 'Center View'.
Thanks in advance.

It's actually EUDs.
As for the differences, I know that when you center view in single player, the mouse also moves to the center of the screen. I don't know any other differences.
Here is a map that shows what all the actions do, it might say something about single player and multiplayer actions.

The minimap also refreshes quicker in multiplayer than in single player.

Here's something I found in the UMS Assistance forum a little while back: mission objectives carry over from maps in 1-player :)

What do you mean? As in the mission objectives from the last game will be the same as the one for your next game?
Another difference between single player and multiplayer: Pressing ESC in singleplayer skips waits, where as in multiplayer, it doesn't.

Yeah, in multiplayer, if you play a map, then quit, and start another one, the mission briefings are automatically cleared out, but not in 1-player :P

That's probably a bug :P

I donno, they may have thought it would be handy when making campaigns, since you could set the objectives depending on how the last mission ended.

Don't think so. There's not way to send information from one map to another. In fact in the BW zerg campaign where you get 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 infested CCs depending on how many CCs you infested in the previous map they made 5 versions of the map and the previous map loads one or another at the end.

Pause and Unpause are SP-only actions.

Also the ESC button works only in SP.

In single player if during the mission briefings there is no wait action you can watch the entire briefings, however in multiplayer if you don't put in a wait it will automatically start for all players.

Not in-game related... but your maximum maps displayed in a folder is limited in 1 player... I think my download folder only makes it to 'J'.

Same; I can't access all the maps in my download folder through single player. As a result, I created another folder labeled 'download 2', and deleted a whole bunch of maps (around 200 or so) that I played once and either regretted it, or forgot about it.

So in order for it NOT to start automatically in multiplayer, you have to put in a wait at the beginning of the briefings? Or where?

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

after display actions... just always when you want to have a wait.

I had to 'Download 6' and still couldn't see them all. Then I started sorting them by genre, then I had sub folders titled 'More' within those. I eventually gave up, though. :P
I think it can only display like 255. I should make a folder and then generate blank files 0.scm to 300.scm and see where it stops.

I once wrote a program that split up your downloads folder into Downloads 1, Downloads 2, etc so that you could see all of them in single player and lan.

Things run much faster in SP with hypertriggers. In my dropship select map, in SP things are instantaneous, but even in 1 player multiplayer they're slower. DL the map from wherever in the abyss it has gone to see it, or wait a month till I release the next version, but it is a noticable difference

In SP if you press alt+tab to change the active window the game automatically pauses and resumes when you make SC the active window again. In MP it does not.
