If your parents don't seem to care, then you should probably convince her yourself. Don't necessarily coerce her to stop playing, just offer her more fun things to do. Like, have her hang out with her friends, or you yourself can do stuff with her that does not involve internet gaming. Have her decide for herself that she'd rather do "better" things than play WoW.

Electronic entertainment: Natural selection for humanity back in action!
Just kidding. If you confront her over it ('negative' solution), chances are she'll just be repelled away from you (unless she really respects you; difficult to achieve with siblings). If you leave her alone ('neutral' solution), she'll just grow more accustomed and comfortable with the game, and it'll just get worse (Blizzard wouldn't be making so much fucking money if people stopped playing, now would they?). If you venture to offer or suggest something else fun to do or do with her ('positive' solution), she may not respond to it (at least at first), but that's really the only reliable method you can count on to get an in-road to persuade her. Ultimately, you can only change people with positive "force"; negative "force" just repels them (over the long term). Until humans decide to act with logic, that's just the way things work with people. Especially females. This post was edited 1 time, last edit by Tuxedo-Templar: Apr 23 2008, 9:31 am.

Eh's a pretty cool guy
|
Hm.
She has nil respect for me, or my parents, I'm an asshole, I'll admit, and I don't doubt it has something to do with being a gamer, anyway, she's already a rotten brat, and I highly doubt that this will help her become a nicer person with greater respect for her family. We'll just see what happens when WoW gets cut off. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Eh has a gauss rifle and eh doesnt afraid of anything.

Depending on how big of a deal it is to you, you could sabotage her computer. That sounds like a pretty serious situation, honestly. I like the life I've chosen as a gamer, but it's not something I'd wish on someone if they weren't aware of the consequences, which I'm sure she's not. At my school, all the girls who do some sort of masculine type activity (gaming, ROTC, etc.) are either not popular at all, or on the very lowest rung of the social ladder. GL.

I used to watch my dad surfing internet with netscape when I was a kid... Didn't have a computer of course but meh
But I started programming at about 8 years old with a computer PC that had some BASIC isntructions. I don't think there's anything wrong with her playing WoW... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() _______________

Maybe WoW's tedious monotony and lack of serious gameplay will cause her to tire of it.

Suggest playing a musical instrument - if she's the right type of person, it can be quite addicting and time-consuming.
Or introduce her to some sports, maybe something connected with dancing. ... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. ~Mahatma Gandhi
