World-Diplo-Operations Problem

There is a few Problems with my map.
1. The crashing, When you start up the game it crashes you sometimes (perhaps due to the BCs that I cannot figure a way to remove)
2. Synching, It drops out everyone randomly sometimes and the spirtes limit is 275 on the map(They are required)
3. On the Selection, It spawns more then 1 ling and sometimes goes on to spawn a link for another player which I do not want happening.

I have attached the map and the most recent triggers respond to the first two of these three points. The first one is because of Battlecrusiers for Player 200+(which increase the supply of players to 800) I have little or no understanding why this happens. If you need more Information provided ask.

Your ling spawn problem is probably explained in here:

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Are you using extended stuff? P13+ units, special colors, disabled (cloaked) units, unusual sprites, etc.?

Those can cause random crashes and maybe drops.

A great way to help figure out what is causing the map to crash/drop players is to remove one aspect of the map and see if the problem persists. If the problem stops, then you've isolated it to something that can be easier to inspect and ultimately find the problem.

For example, if you remove all sprites on the map and test it and find that the crashes/drops stop, you'll know that there is some sprite that's causing the problem.

If you plan to do this approach, I would suggest trying sprites first, and then triggers if it wasn't sprites causing the problem. Then units/terrain/etc.

Also, you can post the crash error log in this thread to get excellent feedback: http://www.staredit.net/topic/8610/

The crashing is the battlecrusiers I placed for Players 201, 202, 203, 204, 205 etc. till 208. They increase the unit supply for all players. I cannot figure out how to remove these units from the map. I just need them there for a few seconds but they end up being there all game.

You have to physically kill them. With units, not triggers. That's why I usually use Terran buildings with 1% hp to modify supply. They'll burn down on their own

Anyways, that's probably where your crashes come from. Because what you're doing is a buffer overflow. That means you're changing StarCraft memory, and not only the supply which is the intended effect, but it's changing a lot more than you'd think. And this can lead to a crash eventually. Maybe you can try different units and see if they make your map less susceptible to crashes.

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort

Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
