I'm running low on HD space (100~ mb) and I was wondering what to do with my last bit of memory without deleting anything to make more room. If you were in the position of having a computer with a 100 MB Hard drive what would you download? buying another hard drive is not an option and assume that you don't have any programs you currently have in your IRL hard drives.

Also it can't be multiple files. Just a single file under 100mb. Whether it be 99.9megs or 1 bit.

Pretty much a chance to see what programs you people can't live without with a 100 mb allowance (for the benefit of me trying it out )

I'd probably do Dwarf fortress just because of the amount of time I can waste on it. I can't really think of any runner ups that are under 100 mb. I wanted to say photoshop but thats way over the limit ;_;

What can't you live without SEN?

Remove all cinematics and sounds and it's 41 MiB.

Tons of things are under 100 mb.

I have a portable CS3 version that's under 50 MB

Dev-C++ takes up around 60 MB, so I can throw that on there and make whatever program I want

First of all, files cannot have 1 bit, and second of all: Mostly anything I deem useful has more than 1 file, so it'd be down to a movie or mp3. But since 100mb movies are either extremely short or horrible quality this doesn't seem like a good option. So I'd probably cut multiple of my favorite CDs / Mini discs into one large mp3 with low quality. (got special settings in my lame encoder where 56kBit VBR still sounds bearable)

Well then let's consider just the installer installer as the single file. everything you get afterwards bypasses the single file rule.

For everyone: The point is, it's not a technical problem (thus in Null and not Tech), but what you'd get if you just had 100MB. Hypothetically.

I wanted to say Valkyrie Sky, but upon checking I find that the installation file is over 600 MB.

I know AllToAVI is under the limit, but of course there's not much point in conversion software if I don't have any room for videos to convert. Basically the same with uTorrent, TVersity, and Sony Vegas Pro; without space for video files they're useless to me.

If I only had 100 MB to work with, I'd probably go with:

Jnes (400 kb)
GMud (300 kb)
Dominus (30 MB)

The rest would probably be filled with music and roms.

As for only having one choice of these, it'd probably have to be GMud due to the amount of different gameplay available, though I'd much rather upgrade to a 1 GB hard drive and just have Valkyrie Sky.

SC1 is 700 MB. If you remove all cinematics and campaigns it is under 200 MB (including all the default SC and BW maps).

Also I've been having this problem for a long time, except I delete stuff.
