This is
NOT the place to discuss which is better. I just want to know statistically how many people have a Mac vs Windows

Operating System, or computer?
I have a Mac Mini (for rendering) and a bunch of PCs that multiboot Linux and Windows 95/98/2000/XP/7.
None.
I have both. I mainly keep my PC at home for gaming and my Mac at work for Final Cut Pro and the like.
Currently Working On: My Overwatch addiction.
Windows

Aww. The name of the thread implied otherwise to me.
I use Windows XP; next to my tower is a PC running Mandriva Linux.
I have no intention to use a mac, personally, though my brother would like a macbook when/if we ever have more than negative moniez.
None.

Why do you need to boot Win95?

What kind of things do you render and how long does it take?
Windows for me.
fuck you all
Compatibility mode is not a full emulation of the earlier windows OSs, and I have a lot of older programs that I occasionally need to run under those environments.
(I mainly just screw around in 3DSMax and Maya. Longest render was about 8 days and consisted of tree tool spamming and a TON of underwater grass, although I do some character animation from time to time.)
None.

I guess his point was that Win98SE fully replaced Win95.

While I don't actually own a computer, at my house there's 2 linux ubuntu computers, one dual-booted with windows vista. Another with windows XP.
Red classic.

I use both. I prefer the flexibility a Windows PC gives me, not to mention the cheaper price.
None.
Mint, xp, in the process of moving to 7.

So you just setup everything and then leave your mac mini rendering without a monitor or a monitor is always plugged in?
I'm guessing you use parallels to run 3ds max?
fuck you all

Depends on whether you run DOS games and whether you use an older-style audio driver or a WDM audio driver. If using the older type of audio driver, you may still be able to get sound in those DOS games on Win98SE, but you do lose some audio features (like being able to have sound in multiple programs at once when at least one doesn't use DirectSound). This basically just makes audio the way it was in Win95.
Just about all of my computers have Windows Vista or 7. I do have one computer running XP, but it doesn't really matter what it runs, since it is used mainly for running just one program - one for streaming video over the network. It is not used with a keyboard either.
None.
Man, I
specifically put "Other (Specify in forum)", but Sacrieur decides that he's just gonna vote Other and not elaborate. K. Fine.
I didn't expect "other" to go past "Mac". Pretty sad for Macs, but GREAT for the outlook on EUD's and things.

Should've put "GNU/Linux" and "other" to get the freebsd/plan9 folks.

Most people who own macs are in a coffee shop sipping on a $5 tall latte with two shots of espresso, not playing SC.
None.
Relatively ancient and inactive
This... matches my Starbucks experience perfectly. Damn macs.
None.
My newer computer that I just got recently runs Windows XP and has virtual machines for Ubuntu and Win 98SE.
My old computer, now gathering dust, ran Windows ME.
None.
