Sigh. MODDING IS MAPPING, in SC2. You code using the Galaxy language, you put custom models in same as for mapping, you make custom EVERYTHING same as mapping.

This does not change the fact that
the design process is very different.In any case, there is now a Modding forum so I see no need to argue the point further.
We have the artwork forums for custom mods in SC2. That is their purpose. If we didn't care about the modding aspect of SC2 map making, we'd just have a Terrain forum like we did in SC1.

I fail to see how the design process is different. Perhaps the planning stage, and the scale of modding, but the rest is the same.

I'm really not sure how viable Modding is in SC2. I'll wait and see if the forum is even necessary.
