Let me show you how to hump without making love.

Now, I don't think it has ever been done, so I am going to ask... Is there a way to detect where a Nuke bead is at through EUDs?

Here is something I just whipped up! It doesn't use EUD's, it uses Locations. Most likely you already know this, but here goes. It detects when it is created ( In/Above silo's ) It detects when its inside a location ( Centered location ) and when its about to explode.

You can use the Bring condition to detect the actual nukes, but I'm not sure of a normal way to detect the actual laser target of the Ghost.

I'm having a hard time finding any value. I nuked the top two corners, and searched for the location (looks to be 7 pixels off the sides of the map, so I searched for 7 and 2040 on a 64x64 map). I get many values, all of which are accurate for those two spots. Of course, when I nuke the middle to see what happens, I get 3 different answers for my 3 numbers. If I nuke in the 60 pixel region, it's still registering as 7.

I don't think you can detect where the nuke bead is, sorry.

These are the 3 addresses I got.

This is what I did. You can detect them inside the silo's, by centering a location over them, and when they hit their destination.

Look for a pointer that goes to the sprite table and the dot sprite? Without any specific study, here are some speculative answers:

-It is in the RAM, it has to be.

-It may or may not be within the scope of EUD conditions, but it is possible.

-You will almost certainly have to deal with the same issue of ID assignment within a dynamic array of sprites (e.g. a nuke sprite pointer and location will never actually occupy the same place of RAM each time you nuke).

Yeah, I have gone through a bit of testing myself and the best I got is detecting the actual nuke :/ Oh well, it should still work out. Thanks guys.

Wow... I tried to just detect a nuke with the bring condition a while back in one of my maps but it didn't work. Are nukes neutral?

Psh. You have to explicitly bring things to my attention if they don't have something like 'EUD HELP NEEDED!'. I'm too lazy to help with whatever arbitrary topic I see. :P

You can detect it's location as it falls, but not while it's travelling, flying up, or in the silo by bring. Command will let you detect it inside a silo.

Mmkay?

LIES!

Oh well. But waiting ten seconds for a grenade to go off is boo. I guess a scarab would work fine :/
