Lets get straight to the point.
I'm planning on bringing back [MM]. First thing I want to do is see if anyone is even interested in modding for SCBW and SCII. I know that I had to leave the clan back then, but I had no choice. After assigning Fierce leader of the clan, I thought [MM] would live on. I'm willing to bring back the clan. All I need is a little support.
I'm not entirely sure though.
Lets see if I can get some support.
PS. This is not a recruitment thread.
None.
Almost forgot.
I'm willing to put all my time and effort into breathing life back into [MM]. Since the very old invisionfree forum is still up, I guess we can still organize our projects there.

If and when the clan is formed and is in good standing with the community, I will buy a domain and hosting.

I still do some modding work every now and then; not a lot, but if you're serious about this, then I'd gladly join.
If you want, you can view a sample of my (only) released work here:

I seriously doubt you'll have much success with this. Modding's been dead for years on this site, and I doubt any of the old MM members will have any interest in rejoining.
You're better off just working with

All I can do is try. If all else fails, then so be it. Since modding has died here, then why not bring it back? You're probably right, the older [MM] members may not join again. I'm sure a couple of newer players may join. We don't need to be a huge clan, but just enough to get the job done.
Yeah, I went to the website and there is no where to register on there forums.

You're better off starting MM on SCII.
Red classic.

I'm planning on expanding the clan to SCII once we get established officially first.

Just here for the activity... well not really
But, there's no such thing as "modding" in SC2. (well, there is, but Blizzard bans you for them)
SC2 blurred the line between modding and mapping.

Slyence, I'll be very blunt: Without Voy's blessing I wouldn't touch this, and I don't think any self respecting former MM would either.
I request that you respect what MM has done and stood for, and let it lay in peace. If you must start a modding clan, leave the name and tag out of it and start something new.

What do you mean by "any self respecting for MM"?
I have a lot of respect for [MM]. Even though I had no choice but to leave [MM], I know what we stood for. [MM] was one of the biggest achievements in Starcraft Modding. I was merely trying to promote modding and encourage members and non members to join in on the fun. I'm very proud of the members that stuck with it and didn't let it go down without a fight. This is the main reason I'm going to bring it back. Since [MM] was the first modding clan, I'm going to bring it back so that we are not the last. If no one wants to come back or join, that's fine. I will promote the clan and breathe life back into [MM].
Little is known of the decision of the deletion of our forum we had here, so I'll let you all in on a little secret.
PM to Moose:
Why is the forum being terminated? Is there anyway it can be saved? ANYTHING? Figures when I come back - we get owned.
Reply from Moose:
Not really. Most of the members have left and only three are still wearing the tags. Even if the clan continues, it is no longer forum-worthy.
PM to Moose:
Well, maybe there original founder/creator can get them jumping again
. Just tell me what the requirements we have to meet to actually be... "forum worthy". And I guarantee you I will put all my effort, dedication and time into getting us back on track. Just tell me what has to be done.
Or shall I just forget about it all, forget about about the last loyal members, and forget about all the dedication that our first few members have actually put into what [MM] used to be?
Just hear me out, and look at where I'm coming from. I'm asking you, please don't let us just perish. This forum is the only thing we have left holding us together. If need be, I can pay $5.00 a month or so to keep it there. Just give me time to get back into the clan, get a hold of Voyager and see if he is willing to start it all back up with me like it was in the beginning.
I know you have the last say, but just take notice that I don't think (and you probably dont care what I think) Clan [MM] deserves this after all this time we have been with SEN. Even in the old days, before SeN 2 - back when even Yoshi was supporting us
.
Alright man, thanks for reading this if you have even made it this far without skimming through it and just deleting it.
After that, there was no reply and the forum vanished.
I have made my decision and I'm making it official; I'm bringing back the clan with the [MM] tag.
None.
Too bad that clans are severely glitched at the moment on SEN. You might want to ask the original [MM]s about this decision as well. Unless you were the co-founder or something, remaking a clan with the [MM] tag under your name seems to be stretching it.
None.
Also too bad nobody's going to join. The brood war scene is almost dead, with the exception of a few people making a map here and there. Honestly, nobody is going to want to mod anymore, let alone commit themselves to a clan.
You weren't here for it, but we did what we could. In the end Voy's choice to leave Corbo in charge left it as a matter of time until the clan fell. No one came to mod night in the last days of the clan, and even before that you had to bug/force people to get on. Polaris and I made some of the last mods actually played at mod night. As someone who was there for most of its run, I tell you [MM] should be left as a respected memory.
Responsible for my own happiness? I can't even be responsible for my own breakfast
This is a terrible idea.
EDIT: I will elaborate. [MM] is a wonderful memory that should be left in peace. It was a highly successful organization that resulted in a lot of fun, but I would rather see its good name remain intact rather than spoil it with some half-hearted attempt at revival that is doomed to failure.
As other people have pointed out, the state of the modding community is, well, dead. I can count the number of active SC1 modders on one hand, and as such there is no point in having a modding clan. What's the point of an organization if all eligible members belong to it?
If you are serious about wanting to revive SC1 modding, rather than just looking for e-fame by being the "leader" of something, I would suggest that you publish projects to raise interest or write tutorials. Any other sort of action is a waste of time and not productive.

Wait, what? A lot was known of the deletion of [MM]'s forum. We were all here for it, and it was deleted because the clan died and most members left. There is no secret reason...

This should be all you need to hear. Few people on SEN are more known and respected than Voyager. As MM's most successful leader, you should trust his word.
Also you forgot the part of your initial PM where you called Mini Moose a "fat lard."

You all have strong points. I will leave it be and not resurrect the clan. I will just mod solo.
