This is true. I nearly forgot too.
Not eaten yet.. probably should its 22:40 here!
My favourite dish ever:
Peppered Sirloin Steak with Rosemary Roast Potatoes:
You will need:
- Sirloin Steak (fresher is better!) Get yo' ass down to the butchers, son!
- Plain White Flour
- Salt, Pepper, Rosemary, Thyme, Cayenne Pepper, Butter.
- 3 to 4 medium sized potatoes (for roasting, so chop them into 1/4's)
- A generous helping of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (alternatively, use Goose Fat)
The Method: Best Roast Potatoes you'll ever have.
- 1. Assuming you chopped the potatoes, put them in a 'food bag'.
- 2. Add Rosemary, Thyme, Salt, Pepper, Oil and Butter to the food bag (omit the butter if you use Goose Fat)
- 3. Shake the bag like mad, try to rub the potatoes so that they are completely covered in oily-spice-juice.
- 4. Pour the potatoes and any remaining juice onto an oven-tray.
- 5. Put it in the oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
- 6. If the consistency of your 'spice-juice' was quite runny, almost like water, you might want to add extra butter.
- 7. Every 5 minutes or so, take the oven tray and give it a nice good shaking. You can also 'baste' the potatoes in the juice, ie. take a spoon, and ladle the now boiling hot oil over the potatoes as they cook. Just don't sue me if you burn your face off.
On to the good stuff: The Steak
- 1. After your Potatoes have been in for 20 minutes, you can do your steak.
- 2. Take a chopping board and put a generous layer of flour down.
- 3. Place the steak, FIRMLY against this flour-floor.
- 4. Add crushed black pepper and cayenne pepper to the other side of the steak.
- 5. Rub it in, don't be afraid. You want the spices to 'bleed' into the meat.
- 6. Lift the steak gently and drop it down onto the flour again (otherside this time).
- 7. Repeat the spicing of black and cayenne pepper to the already floury side of the steak.
- 8. Add a drop of oil (not extra virgin olive oil - not good for high temperatures) to a pan.
- 9. When you see the oil becoming more 'runny' and slightly 'shimmer-like' put your steak on the pan.
- 10. You'll want to press the steak down firmly as you cook it, for about 2 to 3 seconds.
- 11. When you see the steak (from looking sideways) is at your desired level of cooked (medium, rare etc)
- 12. Flip it over and repeat, remember to press it down firmly to 'seal' the juices in.
Take the potatoes out, put them on a plate. Add the Steak. Grab a beer and go feel awesome for 30 minutes.

That's what makes the ladies want to stay the night. They know they get their world rocked at night, but it gets even better in the morning when they get to experience the wonders of a Divine Breakfast.
What if I wanted a Divine Breakfast?

You'd have to stay the night with Ex. He'd probably enjoy that.

Stir-fried garlic and onion, Kai-lan, button mushrooms, baby corn, water chestnuts
in a thick creamy sauce made of chicken broth, some white wine, flour, soy sauce, worchestershire sauce, sea salt, paprika, white & black pepper
with some peeled shrimp, calamari, fish balls, imitation crab meat, stir-fried with some basic seasonings
all topped on some crispy pan-fried egg noodles.

Waiting for them to cool so I can munch on them!
I made really good turkey chili last night.
Relatively ancient and inactive
Boiled some ravioli. Yesterday, made a wrap with chicken, cheese, those tiny tomatoes that kick ass and some dill. The day before that, pasta + sauce that my mom made and I carrier here and unfroze. <3
