I know that the Wiki says that it speeds up animation, does this mean that their fire rate will increase?
If no, is there a way to JUST increase their fire rate without having to make them walk faster?
I know of a way I can do this, but its kind of lame
None.
yes, they attack 2x as fast. AFAIK it doubles the internal clock of the units, which control everything about them, so mael/snare/etc should last half the time. Please test this, though.
I don't know of any way to increase attack rate without increasing move speed. About the only thing you can do is slow the unit down with another unit.

"Parliamentary inquiry, Mr. Chairman - do we have to call the Gentleman a gentleman if he's not one?"
So if I just use the map revealer and not scarab it wont increase the speed of the unit, but the fire rate will go up?
None.
Map revealer= everything 2x except movement, it still 1x
None.
where did I say that? I also don't know for sure, but I presume the answer is no. Test it out.

I tried the map revealer many years ago, and that's what it does
None.
From what I can tell, only animation speed is increased .. so if the unit's attack is controlled by its animation it will be increased.
Units still move the same speed, they just look like they had too much caffeine (confirming what Lethoth said, I guess).
... But I am also not 100% sure. xD
Why does it seem that nobody really knows these things?

I know about this, I discovered some time ago that if you place an unit sprite of map revealer scarab or interceptor INSTEAD of an unit, sprites don't freeze and I remember interceptor is 3x speed instead of 2x with unit sprite.
None.

A lot of people found this. ;o
I think it acts the same way, though ...
All I remember from my testing is that scarab and interceptor do the same things. xD

..And it doesn't have to be top left corner (iirc). ;o
Who said that? LOL
It was based on old methods that have later (read: a long time ago (... I'm old in the SC universe.)) been disproven and out-dated ... I changed my post, though. >.> I didn't think before I posted.

The reasoning was that the first unit is the top left. Something about staredit placing units based on their location rather than the order in which they were placed. It doesn't matter anymore.

Yeah, the map reveler did what I wanted it to, sweet
Thanks.
