Possibly the best movie I've ever seen. Possibly the best movie of 2009. Possibly the best movie about "Blue Cat People" ever.
I have learned many things from this movie, such as: How the Blue Cat People make love, how to date out of your species, and most importantly, how to take addiction to a whole new level. James' movie has showed me how one can become obsessed with becoming a Blue Cat Person, MUCH more so than one can become addicted to WoW. You don't become WoW. You become a Blue Cat Person. This is my favorite movie, ever.

Anyhow,

How many among you have seen the movie yet? What did you think of it? And do you think there will be a sequel?

(I just got back from watching it, 8:54 pm as I am typing right now.)

I have. And a sequel would probably be unwise. Because I didn't even understand why the fuck the Humans didn't just nuke them in the first place. And in the second place, definitely nuke'em. So no, no sequel. I mean, Humans to another planet on another solar system within 5 years? That's some insanely advanced technology. I've decided a sequel is unlikely.

But I did like movie, and it promotes environmentalism, etcetc, humanism, etcetc. It was one of the movies with a story, with valuable aspects, and 'fun', and 'spectacular'. Which is 5 star out 5 star for me.

I could not believe what a big pile of SUCK this movie was. The story was unbearable and half the dialogue was cheesy enough for you to confuse them with Robin's lines in the original Batman movie (holy flying blue people, Batman! this movie SUCKS!).

It was an incredible embarrassment to the industry. Jesus Christ. I can't believe I sat through it.

At least it compares to something promisingly, however; the game is apparently worse! Hallelujah!
Not.

0/10.

Fuck! Ass!

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

I have had absolutely no interest in this film whatsoever. A coworker is convincing me to see it in IMAX 3D, claiming it'll be a huge piece of crap otherwise. That leads me to believe that the film literally only has the special developed-only-for-this-film 3D going for it and nothing else.

Let me show you how to hump without making love.

I guess I am the female of the group who actually liked this film D: Although I have to admit, I wasn't into watching aliens get jiggy with it, that may have been a bit much.

I liked it but. at first I figured it was going to be some Disney-esque movie but then the sex. :S

Looking back the only reason I liked it was because of the IMAX 3D and the banshee pilot. It was pretty cool, like i probably wouldn't watch it again but i would not give this movie a 0/10. It felt like the humans in this movie were Starcraft terrans since they all seemed to act like red necks. Whenever a non important marine talked it was somethign a long the lines of "YEAAA ALIEN SCUUUM. GET SUM!" "HELL YEA GET SUM" "lolwut, you want sum? get sum :3"

I don't understand why they didn't have armored vehicles to take the aliens out. One suped up tank could've done the job of all those dingy banshees. Propellers need to gtfo.

P.S. GET SOME!

i say the movie was 50/50

the cinematics were crazy ...that can't be argued. The film was fun to watch because of how bananas the cgi was....but i was expecting more action. The preview showed all of the boom boom blow up stuff but that was like an 8th of the movie. Even when the movie begins you think it will be action packed. Them setting down on some hostile territory with battle hardened soldiers and machiens all around and dump trucks driving around with arrows and shit sticking out of them....then....love story! The parts where shit was getting wrecked (like home tree) was badass...but then they leave as soon as they came and i'm like wtf! The animals were neato and so was seeing people jumping around trees but i wanted more war.

Might make a cool map? ultras as those big mean rhino things. Mutas as the flying ones. And you have to tame them by letting them kick your ass...like pokemon i guess =[

And you gotta fight the terrans (also player)

Could totally make a map for this movie

blue people - zealots
human - everything terran
jungle animals - everything zerg
really basic no nothing cool to emulate via triggers. Even the avatar thing would be like 5 triggers in total.

I liked the movie though. Inglorious Basterds was waaaay better though.

The blue men DID remind me of Zealots in the trailer.

Screw you guys, I'm still keeping the thought "it's awesome" in my head" and I'm going to think "It's awesome" when I walk out the theater.

I disagree. I thought that the CGI was nice, it was definitely additive to the experience, but seeing it in 3d was a bad idea. The quality of the movie's CGI was too much for my eyes. I recommend seeing it in regular theaters. Anywho, like I was saying, the CGI was additive but I enjoyed the plot/characters more than anything else. It was very emotionally compelling. Good movie, made me happy when I left the theater.

I'm only here because they patched SC1 and made it free.

I loved this movie. Indians and the hippies are friends, but because the hippies are friends with the badass colonel, the indians are like gtfo. Then stupid nerdy guy gets legs and runs all over the place, oh no his new house got burned down by the colonel. We must unite the other indians, and maybe this time our bows and arrows will destroy the helicopters.

OMG EARTH BRAIN SAVES US.

Colonel is a badass.

The sword and the faith

Movie was slightly above average. Saw it in IMAX 3D which is probably the only reason it wasn't just 'meh', I think if they had gone and made it R and made the material a bit darker it would've been a lot better.

How can they have sex and have it not be R rated? They could only play the sounds if it's PG-13, if they show anything such as breasts or anything else it has to be R or that's illegal :P Unless the new R is PG-13..?
