Which I assume takes so much time for something as simple as a few things here in there in WorldEdit.

Given the recent info regarding the SC2 Galaxy Editor, this topic seems pertinent again.

I really want to make a Space Invaders map, now. Freakin' Galaga was inspiring.

I'm making Xel'Naga Tower Siege, and then selling it for $50.

If you guys didn't know, that map serves as an arcade game playable in the Hyperion.

For starters I've decided that I'll make a simple KOTH style game and you basically will have a list of units to choose from and you can read more info about that unit and then you can type -play unit to select it. I plan on having 2 spawn points (one for a red team and one for a blue team) and in the middle of the map will be the hill. You'll basically have 100 points for both teams and depending on the number of people standing on the hill, the more points are being taken away (lets say 5 units are on the hill, then it will be -5pts/sec). Who ever gets their point counter to 0 wins.

TS in 3rd person perspective. That would be fun.

No freakin' way... I have not seen any of these updates yet, and I'm really inspired by looking at these videos. I had no idea that we could make these kind of maps with just scII...

TS in third person wouldn't be that great. Then you wouldn't be able to look around the map to see what other people are doing. But then again, why am I even talking about TS. This forum is for all starcraft maps, and somehow everything seems to lead back to the same one map.

....Who's makin' TF2? I am sure if you can do third person shooter, you can do first.

I've seen FPS maps in WC3. Youtube some if you have to.

And quite frankly, I want to a do a TF2 map but I would be horrible

By the way, it's TS in first person. Third person is already in SC1

I meant over-the-shoulder third person. What we've seen in the SC2 demos is not first person.

I think really what I'm going to focus on at first are like bounds and Defense.. Just really simple maps that I can hammer out fast, but fun maps that everyone wants to play...
Just so I can get my name out there in SC2 and then I am going to start making prob kick ass RPG's and stuff like that.

I wonder how nerve-racking an over-the-shoulder 3rd-person perspective bound would be.
