What bothers me is the supposition that music consists exclusively of "bands" and [presumably vocal] "songs". Your tastes fail.

It gets the point across, at least. I'm far too lazy to include more defined categorizations: instrumentals, symphonies, a capellas, etc.

WHY did you create this thread. It's going to be up to page 8 with whiny pop-punk bands by tomorrow noon.

Let's hear your list then; musical appreciation genius.

p.s. I agree that Jamal' (and probably most of SEN'S list for this topic are going to FAIL majorly.)

I don't listen to as much music as perhaps I would like to, but anything Sabine Meyer (being a clarinetist I appreciate her work) has done is good, along with the SFS Brahms series and, a personal favorite is Bernstein doing Rite of Spring and Firebird with the New York and the London Phil.

Not to mention just about anything done by Yo Yo Ma or Itzhak Perlman (the best players of their instruments alive, imo). I suppose I could go on, but what's the point? Nobody listens anymore.

Are you sure about that?

There is no absolute when it comes to music. While to you, Norm, metal music sounds good, for others it will not. But that would not mean the musical tastes of that other person are bad...

I say most musical genres because there are exceptions, which make me want to redefine the term "music". I call a vote for not criticizing everyone else's musical tastes and let Jamal decide what he likes, or what he dislikes :(

My intention while creating this topic was to expand the musical palette of everybody who viewed it... something that "What the heck are you listening to?" does, but not as well.

Also, try:

I Hate Kate ("Always Something"; "I'm In Love With A Sociopath")

Just Here For The Pie

When I was getting big into music I started listening to Akira The Don, and, fortunately, ATD is big on releasing mixtapes.

Thanks to him, my music has broadened across many different sounds.
Such as: Gonzales, Katie Melua, Spandau Ballet, Morrissey, Gnarles Barkley, The 80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Heart, Pet Shop Boys, Bravecaptain, and John Cale of Velvet Underground.

He really did open my eyes to the musical world. Now I listen to just about anything.

Still, before I started to listen to Akira The Don, I have always been a huge They Might Be Giants fan. :D

>be faceless void >mfw I have no face

I hate most of those songs. Where is We are the Champions, or Crazy Frog, or some decent rap? Or Metallica, or Wierd Al Yankovitch, Tchaikovsky's Nut Cracker Suite, or Pirates of the Carribbean theme, or resident evil theme?(ok- I don't listen to the last two)

Red classic.

I thought the same for 'She Don't Use Jelly' by the Flaming Lips and 'Clint Eastwood' by the Gorillaz.

Supermassive Black Hole is gross. ;o Other songs are excellent. Needs stuff like Hysteria, Butterflies and Hurricanes, and Stockholm Syndrome.

Metallica is progressively more and more awful. They started out amazing, and are now pure shit.

Judas Priest - The Hellion/Electric Eye, Freewheel Burning, Jawbreaker, The Sentinel, Blood Red Skies ;o
They have a ton more awesome songs. I can't list them all. ;o

In regards to Painkiller:

I wanted to put Ocean of Noise and Black Mirror on the list, but I thought the list was long enough already.

Breakin' The Law? Although I've never loved Judas Priest, they definitely have a unique style.

Interesting, to say the least.

Vrael shouted: Idk, I was looking more for a dehumidifer company which maybe stands out as a beacon of relief amidst damp and unpredictable climates of bustling metropolises. Not sure Amazon qualifies
sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
