Not sure if this is known or not, but I attach the map anyway. The idea is making the exit of the nydus be owned by another player, that way it'll only work in one direction.

The sword and the faith

Didn't Blizzard use something like this in the first zerg expansion campaign mission?

No. The Starcraft AI can't use nydus canals, and Blizzard used Staredit to make their campaigns.

Anyone know how to forbid to build nydus exit, but allow nydus canal?

Btw - when I opened this map http://www.staredit.net/?attachment=4303 in Scm Draft 2, I thought that it possible to do 2 entrances with the same exit. It was a nice joke:)

Does this map cannot be done in staredit?

None.

No. In staredit changing the owner of one nydus will change the owner of the other one to make them match :P

Blizzard uses their own special map editor if they were able to use hidden AI scripts in their triggers that were otherwise not viewable in StarEdit.

And other string values (virtual sounds etc)

They probably used a modified Staredit version. In fact, they probably used the original Staredit, and then blizzard modified the editor to release it with the game, cutting down some stuff from the final product.

Campaigns don't use 'virtual sounds'. They were just maps that were combined into SC's mpqs.

I dont understand what u mean about "combined into SC's mpqs". Sc missions use "play wav", that plays wavs, that exists in "install.exe" file. Can we do this in Staredit? And why this is not "Virtual Sounds"?

This thing can be easily done by Virtual Sounds of SCMDraft.

PyMS and ProTRG developer

It can be done in StarEdit. Add the WAV and trigger, save the map, open the map with WinMPQ, delete the WAV, then add the WAV into any of StarCrafts default MPQ's under the same path/name it used in the map.
