I'd like to just know, for the record, what maps were the first to use something revolutionary in SC map making. I'll start off with a few guesses, and anyone can help to fill in the blanks. Also, the the author would be appreciated. Concept maps that weren't hosted on b.net do not count.

Hyper Triggers: Bombing Zone
non-isom(square) terrain: Zone Control???
close starting minerals: SD something???
Stacked minerals: Fastest Map Possible
extended players: Golems Revelation????
EUDs: I just remember it being like a madness with your starting unit being a goon that shot wraith missiles.
unvisioned self(Lights Off): Lights ON/OFF defense
Disabled Doodad state on units:
Anti-hack(EUD):
Anti-hack(non-EUD):
Instant Ups:
Allied Computers: Marine Special Forces

I'll also take more category suggestions.

THe first map that truly used the Lights On/off was this defense... I think it was called LIghts On/Off .. something very simple like that...

back then, square terrain was already seen XD..

None.

Lights off: [something] cannon stack defense? Not sure about it though, it was a looong time ago.

And I don't think that extra scarab ups 'revolutionized' SC compared to hypers, allied computers, vsion off tricks and EUDs...

None.

Yeah that one was an iffy. Plus, it would be really hard to find the map that used that first.

The original Aeon of Strife - first DoTA map? More of a "blizzard" first though I'd imagine, seeing how it went on to wc3 and whatnot.

None.

Invisible Bunker Defense is the first one (I Think) that used Disabled + moved bunkers...

Also.. the first blizzard maps came with the disc...
Good ol' Wakka Wakka and Race of Death. <3

... on another note... Bunker Wars (either that.. or bunker something) is probly the best blizzard UMS map ..

None.

This isn't about the first map of each genre.

...although that isn't a bad idea for another list.

Extended terrain? (besides square)

None.

Extended terrain is just a fancy way of saying square tiled terrain that looks good.

Predator of Bed Chambers

I thought hyper triggers were first used in the map called " Tremors " back in the day.

If all else fails, crowbar the fucker

I played that when it came out, and bombing zone was first.
