I have never used EUDs before, but I would like to use them to detect if there are 4 consecutive characters in a user name, and if they are, desync them. How would this be done? I'm guessing I need EUDTrigg or something.

0x0057EE9C is the location in memory of your name (as of 1.5.2, it's probably changed a lil since 1.6), 24 bytes long. Obviously, it's not shared, so if you detect it, and then have the trigger run something like "create unit" it will desync, since that person's copy of SC is different from everyone else's. Unfortunately, Deaths can only read from 0x0058A344, which is player 1 terran marine. According to Heinermann, the lowest you can read is 0x0057F0D0, with player 1 minerals.

I don't think you can detect username, sorry. However, you can detect text on the screen. Detecting 4 consecutive characters would be hard as well, you'd do better to detect the first four or something.

A_of_s_T has a guide describing it somewhere on his forum or something like that, plus plenty of other people have done it. It's so you can whisper someone to desync them.

The four letters are RCDF. I need a trigger that drops any player with RCDF in their name. All help is appreciated.

Are they in any location? First four, last four, or anywhere inbetween?

You'll need a trigger for each and every one, and I believe you can simply get around it by "RCdF" or "rCDF".
