The Sims 3 is now out, and already the free modded content is pouring in, up until recently the only website I could find more than like 2 downloadable hairstyles(since Sims 3 has horrible ones to begin with) was the Sims 3 website, however, those are for paying customers only.

However, now all sorts of tools are coming out for modders, just 2 days ago the tools to put custom hair into the game were released, and there were already several tools created for custom content purposes, so enjoy the best mod's and custom content site around:

Sigh.

Also, it's coming out on June 2.

June 2?

Oh... Lame.. I read here, I guess should have also read the comments. Well, the game is done I think, I guess they're just trying to get a bit more hype at this point.

Also, the requirments aren't too bad, at least not minimum:
Quote
Desktop PC (Windows XP + SP2):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2000+ Processor
RAM: 1 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce FX 5900 or Radeon 9500)

Desktop PC (Windows Vista + SP1):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2400+ Processor
RAM: 1.5 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce FX 5900 or Radeon 9500)

Of course, the minimum for Sims is always if you want to be able to play with a small house, and only ever having 4-5 sims on the screen at once, not cheating to have epicly massive houses and inviting 40 people over and having them all start dancing :P

Ya, and the minimum for the Sims 2 was like half that, and my computer still gets choppy on large houses with a 3+ GHz processor, and 1.5 GB of RAM.

Just Here For The Pie

It would be great if this was on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. Games have gotten to the point where you can download expansions onto the systems. Maybe it could have its own download central in-game where users can upload and download user based content. It also would open the door for other users being able to visit your Sim City and residents to interact with.

My computer just cannot handle it. It had a hard enough time with the second one when traveling to community areas. It was total bullshit.

Well, duh. That is because the ones in the past do not have anything of what I just listed. This is the online generation of video games, it should be able to work now.

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO

Wait, so you mean that in the previous sim games you couldn't get out of your house?

What was the point of them then? "play the boring life that you already live"? I thought they were different that's all.
I only played SimCity and it was rather good.

fuck you all

That's actually already in-game, it's like Spore in that sense.

I really don't enjoy actually playing with the people that much, I mean, to a point, but that may change in this one due to being able to pick personalities and such, but I just love making houses, it's fun :)

My hope is that they learned from programming mistakes in Sims 2 and have found some way to make the lag a bit less, even with better graphics. They must have figured out something to deal with large amounts of Sims, since you can see the entire neighborhood, they obviously didn't load each Sim's complete stats and such into memory.

Actually, simulation games are used throughout the world to simulate actual world experiences.

For example, the World of Warcraft blood disease outbreak spread so quickly that it killed tiny and weak, pathetic players. It taught people that disease spreads quickly.

In relation, you can actually simulate a person's personality with another person with a set of questions. Generally, you will get similar outcomes. You get the idea.

MMOs have massive servers that can take a lot of the workload.

Well, the games out, so I figure it's about time to revive this.

I definitely see major improvement in this one, it's much better multithreaded, so it actually runs smoother than Sims 2 did on my computer :)

👻 👾 👽 💪

I only recently got Sims2. ;o I doubt my old lappy could handle Sims 3.
Sims is most fun to build a house, make a dysfunctional family, and then kill everybody once you are bored with them. :P [One of the] best game[s] ever.

oh man I had a ton of fun playing this with my friends. We decided to make each other. So I made my friend and my friend made me. We made each other look absolutely ridiculous with speedos and crap. it was pretty funny. And I remember writing something really funny for his bio. hold on let me pull it up

I am a sex offender who howls at the moon on the highway at night naked. I wait for little tiny babies to rape and rape and rape some more. When these kids grow up, I will teach them to fear being raped and make good dinners for me. I HAVE A CHOAD. And my cum only squirts 1 cm. 1 PUMP CHUMP. People usually rub their choads all over my buttchin everyday in the dishwashing place. I like to cook small babies and eat them with my choad friends, with a side of spagettios and hot dogs.

LOVE, DEAN CONTRERASS"
