How would things work if I chose a Carrier? Would I basically be screwed by lack of spell, or would I get to have an unmodded Gantrithor with modded Interceptors, or is it just illegal entirely, &c?

You can mod your interceptors.

EDIT: FTS, I think you should just take the spider mine out of the b& list entirely, no one will try to play as one and it'll just cause confusion because people will think you mean that useweapon 6 (Plant Spider Mine) is b&.

You should at least try...

@Herc: Making an imba unit: Depends. If you just put a bunch of attackwith 1 or useweapon commands, no. If you have a unique/original idea that's powerful as fuck but not just spamming commands like that, then yes.

Modding projectile: No, the only thing you can do is moddify the unit's iscript. You can edit anything it its script, though.

Correct. Although FTS and I will give everything a lot more HP and modify stats for balancing. Now pick a unit!

I was asking about overlays of the unit (like science vessel turret, etc.) ;o It is well established by now that weapons cannot be edited, as far as I can tell.

Just noticed this post... It looks like Hat called the Probe first... Even if you started working on your iscript first, he said that he was using the Probe first. So you'll probably have to pick a different unit.
