A useful patch was long overdue. Thanks Blizzard! :D

A really useful patch would let you center locations on Scanner Sweeps. We should petition Blizzard to add this into the next patch, along with fixing the new fuckup.

I thought Blizzard doesn't listen to partitions petitions? Or was that before Activision? Or both?

I think if almost all of the UMS community asked them to uncheck a checkbox in units.dat, they might listen. It's a very minor request, but very useful to some people.

To be honest I find Blizzard are hypocrites. They clearly took "/R" Straight from Oblivion! and yet, despite every update seemingly ripping off Hacking programs more and more. Now blizzard closes players accounts whom use oblivion.

What else are they going to use? /respond (still reduces to /r)

I doubt they took it from Oblivion, many games use "/r", the first undoubtedly being MUDs. As for closing accounts that use oblivion, you can't really take a 'gray' stance towards programs that modify the game...

EDIT: From what I understand of warden, it doesn't care what is modifying the memory, if it detects changes then it reports your username/cdkey to blizzard. Since its dynamic in nature I doubt it simply checks to see if executable x.exe is running, as such they probably don't know what you were using exactly.

I'll be starting the petition once someone tells me where I should start it.

I doubt they will as they'd not only have to recode some of the Starcraft engine, but they would have to recode parts of Staredit to a). support scanner sweeps and b). support the ability to center locations on them. And I'm guessing they would have to add/re-code more than one header file/cpp file.

Who/what is DoA?

And I thought that changing this would just involve checking the "can be centered on" box in units.dat... Still, it's got to be less work than coding a regular patch.

DoA is the god that created Firegraft.

Not when the majority of stuff that they patch is contained in one little .cpp file >.>

Yay!, when I idle SC my computer doesn't sound like it's running a marathon... of Far Cry 2.

I'm also not experiencing any of this 'lag'.

Can anyone get the ESC-clear thing to work? It doesn't work for me.
Nevermind. I'm just dumb and thought it did something else.

Yay. This has always bothered me. Just having SEN running idly would steal my CPUs and overheat my lappy.

... Ew. Now everything draws really slow.

Not funny

On topic, ugh, it makes me sick how blizzard and its faulty coders make life impossible for modders by adding patches over and over again once modders achieve something :P

Exploits

- Fixed an exploit which allowed Zerg players to gain minerals through mutations.
- Fixed an exploit which allowed Zerg players to recycle an upgrading building.
- Fixed an exploit which allowed Zerg players to extend their creep with a drone.
- Fixed an exploit which allowed Zerg players to move Drones over impassable terrain.
- Fixed an exploit which allowed Terran players to drop a nuke anywhere on the map.
- Fixed an exploit which allowed players to pause the game while in the pre-game lobby.

Bugs Introduced
- It thinks you're sending a reply when you put any character followed by r and a space... for example: "or that" would be processed as a reply saying "that".

I did not knew any of these exploits FTW can someone explain how they worked?
