I was writing a tutorial for EUDs, but got lazy.

Just get the value of the first 4-byte integer entry in Current Group Selection after a unit is selected and you're on your way...

I beat you to it. I went ahead and made an article on EUD's how to search for a units hit points, but the " ' " in EUD's fucks up the wiki and it can't be seen. :-(

Using the trigger exporter on your eudtrig, how do you put those triggers into a map?

StarEdit is the only way to load triggers... You can also copy the StarForge triggers it produces if you have the modified data files.
If you know what you are doing you can hexedit it in (but if you could do that, I dont' really see why you'd need EUDTrig... unless you are lazy. :P

In Scmdraft 2, does the units local ID, or whatever number it is given when you first place it on the map change throughout editing, and or opening the map up in different editors? My unit node EUD's are fucked up, and now I need to make a new map... :-(

I tried using staredit to load the conditions, but it didn't even open a window for me to search for my trigger files.

Just use StarForge for all of your EUD triggers. Its a lot easier, I find, then using StarEdit.

EUDTrig also has cut+paste StarForge triggers. You can manually type them... EUDTrig gives all the EUD-specific information you need even without the exporter.

Sry to bring up an old topic, ive been gone for a while, but, I would really like it if someone told me what to do with these in EUD trig, and how to create a single selection detecting trigger. All I need is one example and I could create my own triggers from it. But I just can't piece together all these directions given to me in fragments. So I guess I need to wait for farty's guide then?

Well, not exactly. :P

All you do is make some fake triggers in Scmdraft 2 that have everything correct, Player/Exact/Amount/Terran Marine, and then just save the map. Open it in StarFroge, once you have changed the conditions file to allow you to input numbers for the units, rather then text names. Simply copy and paste the UnitID:##### to the given triggers and then save it.

You should get:

Player 2 - UnitID:13491/Player10/00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Player 3 - UnitID:13492/Player10/00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
