I had mine like few days ago and it was okay. I only went cause my friends all wanted me to go but it isn't what you really expect it to be like. Sure it was fun, but I wasn't happy that day cause I found out this girl was with another guy. When the music started playing and people were dancing to like reggaeton and other songs, all these girls came and danced with me. Afterwards the girl I liked came and started grinding on me and I felt a woody coming so I backed up a bit, although I regret it now. (LOL!) Then we went to a club for an after prom but that sucked ass because it was crowded and I was expecting a more formal one. Again, I got grinded by all these people and it smelled like ass there.
So did you guys go/plan on going?

Let me show you how to hump without making love.

I went and it sucked. The after party was WooT though, there were like 20 of us in a hotel and we got jacked up.

I won't go when we'll have prom night. I bet I'll go home heart broken and drunk. :(

Never have. Homecoming, Prom, any form of dance in high school I've never been. I was a sad child, and still am.

I did, once. It makes a for a useful status symbol when I'm too tired to scorn adolescents' feelings about high school dances.

MA, you didn't miss much :P I only enjoyed myself because of the company, and I could have enjoyed myself anywhere else, too. Admittedly I went to the only dance our school lost money on against the ticket price (the entire four years of fundraising goes to support it), so over all I guess it was impressive. Very, very fancy hotel and a live band.

I went. I still need to adequately thank one of my friends for "teaching me how to dance"--do something stupid, do it shamelessly, and do it hard. That got me voted prom king :P

I didn't have a prom king/queen or live bands playing. We had a DJ though, but I didn't know if we were allowed to request songs. A lot of us either got drunk or got high in the limo cause the place we went to was heavily guarded because there were like 10 other schools there.

Yes they do. Last year a friend who is now in college took a freshman girl to prom and they fooled around in the only ONE class they had together.

Just here for the pie

I didn't have prom yet, but the 8th grade dance is similar and semi-formal, so I guess I went. I danced with some girls and lost still have my virginity.

15 will get you 20... Anywho, my schools Prom was lame. I am not a Senior this year but the Junior Prom sucked. There was like ~30 people there and most left before it was even scheduled to get over... The after party was also lame. It was what some might suspect as a normal party. A bunch of horny guys getting drunk and smoking drugs trying to get with chicks that are even more messed up. Ahhh, someday we shall all look back at what fools we were and all of the stupid things we did together. :)

15 will get you 20 if you're over 17 or 18 and it's not even 20 in all states. What is the point of a junior prom? Proms are supose to be a time to know each other better before leaving school.
I don't understand how your people "smoked" drugs when you can't really smoke extacy, cocaine, lsd, and such.

The sword and the faith

I wish there was an option called 'I wouldnt be caught dead there.' or 'Id rather SC2 be canceled.' Thats right. Id ruin SC2 for all of us rather than go to prom. That my friends is hatred. :flamer:

My parents are forcing me to go to this 8th grade Memory Night thing. Its piratically the Junior-Junior prom :P Me + Social events = fail. I'd much rather forget about the asshats in my grade rather then have to dance with them for one last night.

If anything cool is ever going on Skype me up under the name "blarghle"

FACEBOOK PICTURES. DUH.

I've discovered our senior class is actually awesome enough to not be retards (for the most part) at social events. For the most part though, it still seems to be that the people who go are still the ones that think they're cool because they can grind girls (the more the more bonus points!) and get high while in high school.
