I was figuring I'd make a mobile grid of 25 instead of 9 devourerers. I decided to check and find out the give/remove/center location order, and this is what I found. (Using devourers, 10x10 location.)

5 6 11 16 21
4 10 13 18 22
3 9 15 19 23
2 8 14 20 24
1 7 12 17 25

Can anyone confirm this for me? The pattern is so strange that I'm not sure of myself. That's all, thanks. I didn't want to forge ahead with triggers for a system that doesn't work.

:payne:

I think that's wrong, it shall be like this:

05 10 15 20 25
04 09 14 19 24
03 08 13 18 23
02 07 12 17 22
01 06 11 16 21

As far as I remember, detection is supposed to be done that way:
Bottom to Top -> Left to Right

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

Confirmed Vrael. Reason is because the unit detection detects them from left to right FIRST, then, if they have the same x value, the one that was created last goes.

Try it out by staggering making 25 devourers this time and note your findings. I made a quick map, which has the same order you did.

payne, that's how it works when you preplace it perfectly, but when you create units they are created in the wrong order, or are not the perfect size, so you end up getting it going 01 and up on the first one, then on the last one it goes top to bottom, then all the others it goes top, bottom, and repeats that until it gets to the center.(At least with devourers)

Uhh okay thanks rockz. I did my own testing of the order before my first post and actually it works fine now, it just seemed ridiculous to me when I first made it, I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to hit any glitches down the road.

That's all. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's x value then unitID like rockz said, Vrael's is right. The reason it looks random is just cause theyre created spiraling out from the middle, but detected left to right.
