I got some few problems with my Starcraft programs from Windows 8 and 10 today. One of them have an error, and it looks like I cannot solve this error. First, I re download the Datedit and click the icon and didn't respond. Second, the firegraft didnt respond to. Í tried to click on it but it didn't respond good. When I come back to check my Starcraft custom campaign with Firegraft. The program never respond. It said, "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or files. You may not have an appropriate permissions to access it." Hm, maybe I forgot which program that I used. Was it the Winmpq or something got an error. Third, my Winmpq isn't right. I tried to go over every steps about that jackass MSCOMCTL.OCX which was missing. When I download another MSCOMSTL.OCX. The Winmpq still didn't respond. Another step that I make was to go over this installation on how to get my Winmpq back but it didn't work
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGJZgw7vRR4&list=PL1voVexx0Lndvl_pu6anVipsKJ4zpU7HK&index=1 After I learned from every step. It got another error. "Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with binary or dependent files. The specified Module could not be found." I have no clue where is the binary and I have no idea what I am suppose to do
. I need that Winmpq, Datedit, and Firegraft for my Starcraft SOF Chronicle but those programs won't respond to me back. God I hate computer error so much hate hate hate.

Are you running them as administrator? I think Win8 is touchy about permissions by default, especially with unsigned apps.
I tried to go over every step from the Virtual basic 4 instruction on how to install this Winmpq but it didn't help out.

Sorry, I meant are you running the tools (FireGraft, DatEdit, etc) as administrator?
No. Beside, I'm already in the administrator.

Ok, the Firegraft and Datedit that I run with Administration didn't worked out well. But I have no clue what to do.
None.
Are either of them giving any error messages when they fail to run?
Are either of them giving any error messages when they fail to run?
Yes, they gave me this message which said, "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or files. You may not have appropriate permissions to access this item." What seems to be the problem? Well I tried to use Datedit but it won't respond to me? I click on it and then nothing happen. What should I do unstall and restall Starcraft again? Because I tried to used on Administration and it didn't worked.

The file permissions may have been corrupted - try re-downloading the modding tools.

Already did but nothing happened. I used Run as Admin but those mod tools still aren't working. Should I unstall my Starcraft will that help?

I don't think it's an issue with your StarCraft installation - it's more likely some security feature of Win8/10 that's causing issues. Try seeing if you can
unblock the files, that might be the culprit as well.
