ya so i was running a regular map scripting an insane comp into the ums version. ok but looking further into what made him so "insane" i see him creating a spawning pool with his first drone. even though in theory he has 50 minerals as i do. i tried removing minerals etc (should have made a trigger to kill his building if he hadn't gathered the resources in revenge LOL) but they just follow that same list of commands which allow them to ignore resource costs. the rest of the workers are still mining though.. lol
solution? this was done a year or 2 ago using the staredit scripts

ps: there are no other triggers besides the melee ones.

None.

The insane difficulty just lets the computer cheat, if I remember correctly (though I could just be getting this mixed up with SC2). If you want them to play by the rules, use a non-insane script.

If you want your easier AIs to cheat on resources, just write a trigger giving them more resources.

Brusilov -- Hey, what happened to EUDDB? Is there a mirror for it somewhere? Need to do a little research.

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless
[2024-5-06. : 5:02 am]
Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
