Hey so if I were to change where some text will be, what do I put for the "Mouse Response Area"?

Are you using the "Button w/ Light-up" text type?
the Mouse Response Area just creates the box where mouse events are handled, based on the top left corner of the control box (maybe I should have drawn that in the preview window xD)

Well I tried moving some text but when I click on it, it won't do anything

Make the top and left of the response area the coordinates of the text, and then make it sufficiently wide and tall for the text and try that.

And also, I changed a background picture and all the text are brown as well
and a few days ago, I deleted all the smk files and then I got an error and binedit closed

Text is disappearing because you have the 'Right' and 'Bottom' settings wrong ... Width should be Right - Width + 1, Height should be Bottom - Top + 1.
For what you appear to be doing, Mouse Response Area should be Left = 0, Top = 0, Right = Appearance Width, Bottom = Appearance Height, and then Mouse Response Area Width and Height is calculated the same as before, but with the appropriate Left/Right/Top/Bottom values.
Also you can use the Alignment flags on the right to make the text labels more regular.
I should make a new version of BinEdit2 that is easier to use (and uses some helpful things Heinermann discovered).
