I am making a map and i decided to add colors. I opened up the String Editor and added colors to the Mission Briefings and the Scenario Name. However, some of the colors i put in there will be white instead of red. And i know the stuff is red because it says so in Strings. But the text i wanted to be red is white.

ex:

Scenario name in strings: Open RPG

Scenario Name in game: Open RPG (yellow as an example)

---------------------------------------

Why does it do this?

Okay, let me explain this to you:
Title Screen: I'm not too sure about, I think that it is the map when you are looking at it when selecting a map, I think I'm wrong though. NVM, according to Farty, that's the font color for the loading screen at the beginning of SC, so it doesn't matter to you :P

Glue: Colors in the briefing, and the title of the map, so this is what you have to choose from for your title.

In-Game: The name explains itself :P

So just plug those <x> codes into SCM Draft and it should give you those colors, depending on where you are using them. The string editor in SCM only shows the proper colors for In-Game, so don't always trust it.

That color table will be useful. I hope saving it to my computer doesn't violate anything...

As I know using first-hand experience on battle.net playing SC, it may not show the colors when you are viewing the data of the map when the game hasn't started, OR it could just be when you are looking at the "Join Game" list preview... I cannot check what it is right now (the basement doesn't allow a good wireless signal to my laptop).

It's from BinEdit, a modding program I made to edit dialogs. Feel free to save the image.

When you are going through the list of maps or trying to join a map, rather than showing the colors in the map title, it has big ugly blocks, and the description of the map just doesn't show any color at all.

That's because it doesn't parse them. Battle.net uses normal fonts and such.

sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
