'Retarded' has everything to do with 'mental' when you put the two words together. That's like saying 'ice' has nothing to do with 'cream'.
Um. What's the point of this post? >_>

Are you sure about that?

My chemistry teacher says microwaves increase the risk of suffering cancer if you eat food affected by those.

Quote from Wikipedia
Health effects

Main article: Electromagnetic radiation and health

Microwaves contain insufficient energy to directly chemically change substances by ionization, and so are an example of nonionizing radiation. The word "radiation" refers to the fact that energy can radiate, and not to the different nature and effects of different kinds of energy. Specifically, the term in this context is not to be confused with radioactivity.

A great number of studies have been undertaken in the last two decades, most concluding they are safe. It is understood that microwave radiation at a level that causes heating of living tissue is hazardous (due to the possibility of overheating and burns) and most countries have standards limiting exposure, such as the Federal Communications Commission RF safety regulations.

Synthetic reviews of literature indicate the predominance of their safety of use.[3][4]

Only harmful if something you eat is emitting the waves. Don't eat the magnetron and you'll be fine. :-_-:

Maybe Krayzee was the only one who didn't get this, but that statement was purely rhetorical. my point was that just because a "teacher" says something, does not make it true.

Yeah but you clearly do not hold it next to your left or right pocket when you talk, unless you're a yuppie. And no, it is not the reason why people have retard children. Mentally retarded is redundant.

I don't know about your phone buy my phone is constantly sending information back and forth to the cell phone towers. It has arrows that go outwards and inwards to show when it has a signal coming in and a signal coming out. It also has smaller arrows for when its sending for a signal, or something like that. For any of you with the BlackBerry Curve, you know what I mean... This goes on constantly throughout my day. Even now, if I have my cell phone too close to my speakers, you can hear this weird noise it makes when it is sending and or receiving information.

Mine only does that when I get a call. Although occasionally it will do it for no apparent reason... But not continuously.

Mine just does it anytime it is sending or receiving any type of information. This includes: text messages, phone calls, signal being closer or further (for the signal bars), and just a random check like at random times. Very annoying. :flamer:

Yeah, it's the same sound that modems used to do. It happens whenever the mobile phone tries to establish comunication with the antennae.
