CREATIVE > ALL! I had the creative zen until it was stolen but man did it ever kick ass. My older brother even ended up buying the same one. Sorry I can't quote my reference here but I read in a newspaper article that creative mp3 players are statistically better than ipods in every single aspect. Only reason I'd buy an Ipod over one is because they sell like hot cakes and their prices are starting to get drastically reduced.

How is the quality of the video in a Zune? In Zune and when outputted to a Television?
It has the same resolution as the iPod (320x240), but ~twice as big of a screen. Theoretically, the quality is worse, but I think it still looksjust fine. I watched The Departed twice and Ghostbusters 2 once on my recent flights. It's fine. Also, it's capable of storing videos at 720x480, which is DVD quality. To output video, you'll either need an Xbox 360 or the extra video output kit.

Use dvd platinum to rip and resize so your ipod plays it at best quality. Also, anyway we could add a pole? My ipod just got washed and it's RIP, so i'm decinding what to get now. I don't want a touch, so its between the 80gb ipod or a zune of similar capacity.

If you know the right people lol. I think it's market value is $40 but you can use the trial version for like 4-5 rips for free (i think, you'll have to check it out for sure) at least that's how I got it.
