Haven't you ever tried using Valkyries in massing maps? Not all of them fire, they all start getting stuck.
Irrelevant.

None.

Be careful Kenoli, you might reveal relevant information if you keep on telling us so much.

👻 👾 👽 💪

The 499 limit is some arbitrary sprite-loading limit... The actual sprite limit in-game is much higher (even higher than the unit limit...) The map limits link shows this.

TinyMap2 - Latest in map compression! ( 7/09/14 - New build! )
EUD Action Enabler - Lightweight EUD/EPD support! (ChaosLauncher/MPQDraft support!)
EUDDB - topic - Help out by adding your EUDs! Or Submit reference files in the References tab!
MapSketch - New image->map generator!
EUDTrig - topic - Quickly and easily convert offsets to EUDs! (extended players supported)
SC2 Map Texture Mask Importer/Exporter - Edit texture placement in an image editor!

Yeah because technicall everything is a sprite. A sprite is just a 2D picture and those are used to represent everything you can see in sc. Still that fact doesn't tell us about the 499 limit and its correlation to weapon sprites.

No, those are technically called "Images" in SC, sprites are something else(if you want to see the difference, check out DatEdit)

None.

Well, if you really want to get technical... Units are made up of flingies. Flingies are made up of sprites. Sprites are made up of images. Images are made up of GRPs (the actual bitmap data). Each one has its own addition of information.
