Stop fucking up the topic. The topic is how to get rid of CO2 in our atmosphere that is raping our weather.

I think my post had more purpose than you realize...

On the implied subject, I really am not sure CO2 is the cause of any weather changes that may or may not be occurring, so my answer to the question is: there is not a solution to an absence of a problem.

Edit:

Excuse me, that last line came out obscure: In this event of the absence of a problem, it requires no solution.

I'm just throwing out there that nitrogen is the most abundant gas in our atmosphere for those who think that we don't breathe it in.

Just a heads up.

Global warming, it exists.

Yes global warming is occurring, but does CO2 take all the blame? or is it multiple factors? or is it possible that CO2 has no correlation with the slightly increasing temperature, and is just coincidentally increasing with the global temp? It's hard to address the topic question w/o hitting these questions first.

Carbon dioxide actually isn't that potent of a greenhouse gas. Water vapor causes a lot more, but we can't get rid of it, and it wouldn't be a good idea to. Methane is more potent than carbon dioxide, along with a slew of others with extremely long names.

Seed the ocean to create more tiny organisms that recycle CO2.
I vote for this. Fertilize the oceans with iron so all the tiny organisms way down there can have some, so they can live and take in the CO2.
Quote from Centreri
The CO2 people whine about is in the air, not under water.
False. There is plenty of carbon dioxide in the ocean, and it gets released to the atmosphere. Look up the carbon cycle.

Ban all Incandescent and cfl light bulbs
We should all use LED light bulbs
LED light bulbs fail in high temperatures therefore we will know if we are winning the fight ^.^

closing down greenhouses

Greenhouses don't make greenhouse gases.
Also, wtf is a smoke factory.

Apart from what's listed there, nothing. Except remove mankind.

Just fyi:
"to lower the temperature two degrees Celsius (which is the low end of the UN IPCC projections) would cost the world an estimated $2.4 trillion and $26.5 trillion."
-Glenn Beck

With nearly $5 trillion, we can eliminate poverty, provide education for nearly every human on the earth, and give everyone water and sanitation.

My friends father is working on a system for the gov't to require all major CO2 output corporations to reduce their yearly emissions by 10% by 2015. Each company that can reduce more than 10% will get 1 C point per 250lbs extra CO2 they reduce from yearly output. They can then sell their C points to other companies that cant reach their 10% goal. It will be required to reach this goal by 2015 or else your company will be put on probation and ultimately shut down if they cannot fund enough C points by 2016.
China just had a massive earthquake yesterday with over 9000 fatalities, I don't know where that number came from, it's nothing funny like the DBZ meme. And China is still a developing country, the United States agreed any developing country can use CO2. Also China is the trade and manufacturer for the United States, it's going to cause very serious problems.

Hm, our nice little plankton buddies like CO2. It's like having a concentrated forest in the ocean. I guess this is plausible.
But the tons of pollution we're dumping into the water won't be good for our little friends. :(

I agree... I think causing a problem to fix a problem is like subtracting 1 so we can add 1, we still get stuck with 0..... Tho i still don't really think CO2 is the problem so that wouldn't even solve a problem, and actually create a problem so we'd end up at -1.......

Dumping junk into the ocean has NEVER benefited more than it's harmed.

China has grown in exponential carbon release, but remind yourself that there is also a good fraction of the Earth's population there. For a long time, North America has been the largest source of Carbon release. Considering the difference in population, give it more thought.

The trillion of dollars may be able to help, but when does the exact amount of money arrive at its destination after international goverment handling?

Even if CO2 is not the main problem, it's a big problem, and we're a big cause of it. It doesn't matter what's causing it. What matters is what we can reduce. Each individual can stop driving two blocks away from their homes in broad daylight. That would do something. Instead of feeling like if you recycle, you're doing something "good." The fact that you're using unrecyclable product should be shameful. But alas, some things cannot be helped and must be used or simply would be used for a slight pleasure, WHICH IS FINE, just don't abuse it...

Actually, I do have a plan.
When exposed to Iron, plankton intakes CO2 and produces O2.
It's already being done already. We need to dump tons and tons of iron into the worlds oceans, not crazy, it's in effect as we speak.

Also, if CO2 is the cause of global warming [which is still far below the previous peak in temperature] we don't need to lower the temperature of the earth, of course that's impossible...

This doesn't answer my question. The iron wouldn't be 'junk'. Your body needs iron, too. It's not like we'd just be throwing iron bars and old scrap metal into the water...

Global warming seems inevitable now. Even with conservation & a reduction of fossil fuel consumption, global temperatures will continue to rise due to the increasing consumption of an increasing population.

Taking one from Starcraft, we should just strap rockets to all our future buildings and lift them off when the water level starts rising...
Just for coastal buildings of course. 10-20 miles inland will be a nice future beach front property ^^

We need to get that thermonuclear fusion technology working asap! Or maybe in 100 years, we can build a giant extremely thin solar panel that blocks out a proportion of the sunlight.
