I've been having an argument with SEVERAL classmates about the pronunciation on the world Milk. So, does milk rhyme with "elk" or 'silk"?
None.
Milk like 'silk'. If it rhymed with 'elk' it would be spelled 'melk'.
I only know of a few people (friend and his brother and maybe more of his family members) who say things like 'Melk' and 'Pellow', and we make fun of him for it. xD
e = such things as fellow, red, etc.
i = such things as silk, slick, rip.
i sounding like e is just ridiculous.

It's pretty darn obvious that it goes better with "elk".
None.
