Confliker Virus Information

Simply put, and easy way to tell if you have it is to go to a major anti-virus website like Mcafee. If, when you click on those one of those links provided, and the webpage times out, try one more time. If it times out again, DO NOT TURN ON YOUR COMPUTER TOMORROW. Better yet, unplug your internet. All information will be available to people willing to purchase black market access to your computer.

Don't make your computer easy pray for these people, give them one hell of a fight, that you plan to win.

Eh, if your infected it won't matter if you leave your computer off tomorrow. Variant C is the one that will update its domain lists daily after April 1st, note daily.

Anyway, it doesn't seem much harder to avoid than most viruses.
Do you run Windows Update? You're safe.
Do you not have Windows? You're safe.

It will atleast give you a chance to remove it.

Something like this happened before.... It was on new years eve or something and made fireworks and "Happy new year" spam on your comp or something and blocked you from detecting changes happening or something. THE END for your comp maybe?

It funny how China+Russia have the biggest infection rate (rite?) because of all the pirating.

It's funny how people freak out about these things, because I check my startup and process list relatively often and anything like this gets looked into, I guess most people just don't notice

I'm betting that at this point no one is really distributing it specifically, my bet is that it's just a well-programmed worm that was able to redistribute itself as soon as it got spread to a few computers.

I don't remember the last time I've updated... I have minimal protection that I usually turn off to spare resources... And I'm clean.

Apparently the internet and/or a large amount of computers were not destroyed.
It's a shame because I was promised a purging of idiots.

I was told that it was going to update, but absolutely nothing else (anything bad) was going to happen.
Also I only learned of it today. ;o

It wasn't even going to update, there was code in it that prevented it from generating new domains until April 1st.

nothing really happened with the virus. It was kind of a joke.

And I read the virus hit 5 hospitals. I was waiting for some lulz.

So does anyone actually have this? Every computer I have encountered does not.

I have yet to experience any problems. I keep windows update on and firewall as well.

I would also like to see some source as to the hospital and gov. attacks.

The worm itself is an epic April Fools!
