Secondly, Paul Gilbert was Buckethead's teacher.
Check out some of these guys, you would be surprised how awesome they are compared to Buckethead and Joe Satriani.
You can start off with
The Werewolf of Westeria by John 5. It should give you some starting ground because it features Satriani.
You can find Paul Gilbert solo stuff, or his first big band Racer X. Nuno Bettencourt can be found with the band Extreme.
