7 months. The thing is, I'm decently good. Too good for something as basic as power chord to outside my grasp. Note the chord I listed next to the B5 I can play.

That chord doesn't even make sense. If you can stretch your fingers 8 frets with two fingers in between then you have the hands of God. I really struggle to believe you, actually. But that doesn't mean you're any good at guitar . . . well it depends on the standards that we're going by. And at 7 months, still struggling with power chords isn't that big of a deal. You need to learn to pick them better. Muting the other strings is a terrible option that you shouldn't even bother with.
And I'm not listening to anything at the moment.

Well, I don't struggle with them... I just don't play them. Ever, 'cause they don't sound right.
And that's a 12, not a 1 and 2... I'm only stretching 5 frets. (Although I can stretch from 1 to 7)

NudeRaider -- PSA: ASUS apparently decided their RMA department needs to "become profitable" and for a while now outright tries to scam customers. They were called out on it a year ago, promised to change, but didn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMrssIrKcY so my recommendation: Stop buying ASUS, and if you already have and need something RMA'd, make sure to not let them bully you into paying.
