One question: Since I am new to Mafia (I've read the rules and I get the jist of how it works), What if I am unable to get online certain days of the week? (Sunday, Wednesday afternoon,)

You play when you can. Everyone can't be expected to be around ALL THE TIME, so just try and get your night actions in on time (if you've got any to give) and be active in the thread when you can be.

DAY ONE:

It was an arid day in the town of Geldar. The sun shone brightly and the air was dry and stale. The streets were empty, save the odd tumbleweed traversing the now dead roads. The entire population had gathered in the town hall for what had been deemed an 'emergency town meeting'.
The crowd was restless. Nobody seemed aware of what was happening, or why. The town sat, discussing with their neighbours the possibilities.
Mayor Voyager stepped up to the podium and a quiet nervousness fell over the crowd.

"My fellow townspeople, I assure you there is no need for undue alarm. However, I have been informed that an infectious agent has been released in our town. I have brought with me our town's top scientific mind to explain the situation."

Voyager stepped back from the podium and beckoned a member of the crowd forward. Symmetry stepped up to the podium this time.

"The virus that has been unleashed upon our town is both deadly and communicable. An infected person will exhibit few symptoms during the day. However, come nightfall, when the infected goes to sleep, the virus will take control of the host and force their body into a murderous rampage."

The crowd exploded with activity. People began yelling and crying, demanding answers. A single old gentleman sitting in the front row had passed out and could be heard snoring, despite the commotion. After a few minutes had passed, the crowd had calmed enough for Symmetry to continue.

"We have developed a vaccine which will be distributed as you leave the town hall, however it will only be effective for a short period of time. Our best estimates are in the realm of two days. At that point, the virus will have mutated and will be able to transmit itself to new hosts. In the meantime, we will need to identify and destroy anyone already infected."

This time, the crowd sat in absolute silent. Everyone wondered who could be infected and who would have to be killed.
Suddenly, the sleeping old man in the front row jumped to his feet and threw himself upon Symmetry and Voyager, violently maiming them both. Security forces in the town hall shot the old man until his corpse laid motionless.
Symmetry, with his dying breath, spoke to the horrified crowd.

"Follow the clues... Kill the infected... Cleanse... the virus..."

With that, Symmetry collapsed and died. The town was left without scientific advisory and without leadership. The first order of business was electing a new mayor in hopes of someone being able to lead the town through these dark times...
