A friend of mine asked me about a doodad from the Jungle tileset, Water #1. It looks like this:



Now, he says that this is something connected with the Protoss. A lore fan that I am, I had no clue what he was talking about. It just looks like a pile of rubble to me. He also mentioned that it might be something from an early alpha build of Starcraft, back when it looked like Warcraft in space and really hurt your eyes.

Any idea what might this be?

in my opninion it looks like a really big special (maybe robotic) space marine.
But protoss? I don't think so.

O. M. G, After reading your Opinion, I can totally see that, I can see the arms, The Fingers, The Legs,Shoulders,Even a Slight Head, All body shapes .

I've always assumed it was a mech of some kind. I see something like a head, with large cables coming out under it into the body, a set of symmetrical upper body armor, and what appears to be the barrel of a weapon below the left arm and a knee below the right arm. Not quite sure what is up with the right arm itself, looks like the armor on it is flipped back.

Way too huge to be that. It's larger than any of the buildings in the game.

In the top [and a little to the left] Is its head. It's mouth [or eye] is like opening up.
The left shoulder pad with the three circles is a.. Shoulder pad extending his arm in a "kneel" position.
His right should pad [the one with one circle] extends it's elbow into the water [which explains it can't be seen] then the wrist and hand come up along the torso.
And the invisible like thing in the bottem right is a leg, perhaps?

It's just a statue in the shape of a Terran infantry unit or mech.

I honestly never looked at it till now, It just looked like some Random Water Doodad XD.

Looks like an run down mech of some sort, maybe something of the Xel'Nagas? An out dated Terran mech? Protoss mech?
